Dear Parents and Friends,

It has been another busy and uplifting week! This morning ’s Friends of Haileybury Coffee Hour was a wonderful success; my sincere thanks to everyone who joined us atsuch a cheerful and welcoming gathering. These events are such a valued part of school life, strengthening the sense of community that makes Haileybury Malta so special. Quotes from this morning: “What a great vibe”, “Look at all these new faces! ”,and, my personal favourite, “We’re so happy we made the move to Haileybury! ”.

Earlier in the week, Mrs McBride led an excellent phonics workshop for parents of pupils from Reception - Year 3. It was an informative and practical session that gave families real insight into how early reading is taught and supported in the classroom. Thank you to all who attended and for the thoughtful questions and enthusiasm you brought; it ’s inspiring to see so many parents engaging so actively with their children ’s learning journey.

Looking ahead, we are very much looking forward to welcoming parents of pupils in Years 7 and 8 to our Parents’ Evenings on Monday and Tuesday. Invitations have been sent out, but if you have not yet received yours, please do contact Mrs Costa in the office. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to hear how your child has settled into the new school year and to discuss their progress so far. The invitations for Years 5 & 6 should be going out over the next few days.

Finally, it has been wonderful to welcome Ms Afele to Haileybury. She has really enjoyed getting to know her pupils, and has fitted into our lovely school seamlessly. We are delighted to have her here, and she looks forward to getting to know our families better over the coming months.
