Mountain of
Teheran
An abstraction of a mountain rising in the center of the city Teheran's is the capital city of Iran and is situated in the north part of the country, just beside the impressive Alborz Mountains. Our vision was to create a fusion between mountain and building, a design which would be modern in its shape, but still relate to the single most powerful element in Teheran, the mountains. We also wanted to create version of the traditional Mideast courtyard, but refroze it and fit it into a modern galleries, office and apartment building. The result was the crack that splits up the building in the southeast and reveals the inner room which is open to the sky. The structure has a total transparency against this space and all offices has an overview over the the space and can lock down on people shopping or moving between the different floors in the transparent elevator.

The Shape of the structure creates lots of great terraces which you can reach either directly from you office our throw any of the public spaces. The office plan is design to make a mix between the open landscape situation and single rooms, with all functions dividing the office into to part at the same time as it creates a venue. The building also has a cafe/restaurant at the fourth floor and a cafe/conference room at the sixth floor.
