FEB/MAR EVENT WRAP-UP
What an exciting evening this was for the Hage families who came out to cheer on the San Diego Sockers! Students got their spring break off to a fun start with a thrilling match that saw the Sockers win in overtime. Each person also received a scarf giveaway in honor of Military Appreciation Night.
A portion of proceeds will benefit the 5th Grade Promotion Committee.
This special event was celebrated over two days last month. Students were treated to story time presentations from Elastigirl and Black Panther!
Thank you to all who participated as a classroom reader. Guest readers were treated to a PTA-sponsored reception with refreshments in the staff lounge. If you weren't able to attend this Readers' Reception... no worrries! Plan ahead for Muffins in the Morning on Friday, May 12.
High fives to all who attended the past two restaurant fundraisers! Both dine-outs brought in over $350! Our monthly dine-outs are a great way to bring in extra funds for our school while taking a night off from cooking.
And a special thank you to our partners at Chick Fil-A and Rubio's of Mira Mesa for hosting and each giving back 15% and 30% of proceeds, respectively.
On a chilly and drizzly day in March, all teachers and staff members had the opportunity to enjoy a hot beverage of their choice courtesy of The Rush Coffee.
Stay tuned for details regarding Staff Appreciation Week next month! This week will kick off on Monday, May 1st and will be filled with ways for students to express gratitude for their teachers and other school staff.

WHAT IS IT?
Club Move seeks to create an inclusive culture at Hage by providing an opportunity for Special Education peers to interact with General Education peers. is is a visually-supported, all-inclusive physical education classroom. Students with all abilities work together to make positive relationships and learn from each other. This co-taught format was started by P.E. teachers Mr. Keith Kaneko and Mr. Brandon Cahoon. Club Move is taught on Mondays over two, 30-minute classes for grades K-1 and grades 2-5.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Standardized approaches in P.E. are adapted for students with moderate to severe needs. The classes have 6 stations, each identified with its own color. Each station (usually with 4-5 students) has visuals to help with communication and understanding.
