PANTHER PAW PRINTS
Hello Hage families,
As we approach the end of another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all we have accomplished together and express my heartfelt gratitude for the support, dedication, and partnership of our Hage community. In an effort to continually improve, please take some time to provide your input on the Family Engagement and Leader in Me (MRA) surveys on the following page.
This year has been filled with growth, learning, and joyful memories. From the excitement of our Fall Festival and Movie Nights to the curiosity sparked during Science Night and the energy of the Apex Fun Run, each event reflected the vibrant spirit of our school. Our Book Fairs, Reading Events, field trips, Swim Program, and more provided meaningful opportunities for students to explore new interests, challenge themselves, and have fun while learning.
A special highlight of our journey continues to be our commitment to the Leader in Me framework, which empowers every student to discover and develop their leadership potential. We are proud of the ways our students are embodying the 7 Habits, both in and out of the classroom, and we look forward to deepening this work in the years to come.
Thank you to our families and PTA for your continued involvement and enthusiasm. Your partnership helps create a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive. Whether volunteering, attending events, or offering encouragement from home, you make a difference every day.
We look forward to celebrating our amazing 5th-grade students during Promotion on May 28—a wonderful milestone in their journey. Please remember that the last day of school is May 29, which is a half day. We will return ready for another great year on August 11, 2025.
As we head into summer, I wish you and your family a safe, joyful, and memoryfilled break. May it be a time of rest, adventure, and connection. Please continue to check our school website (https://hage.sandiegounified.org/) for
and important information over the summer.
Respectfully,
Hello Hage families,

We are excited to continue our partnerships with Scholastic/SDUSD’s Family and Community Engagement Department (FACE) and Leader in Me into next year. We need your help to assist with strengthening and sharpening our school’s efforts to further engage families.
Please complete the Family Engagement Assessment(FEA) and Leader in Me (MRA) by May 29, 2025:
The FEA survey is available in several languages (Spanish, Somali, Haitian-Creole, Arabic, French, Vietnamese, Pashto, and Mandarin). Our goal is for at least 40% of families to complete the survey.

Dear Hage Families,
As the school year comes to a close, I look back at all that was accomplished and the few things yet to be finished. I look back on all the new friends I have made. Friends that I would not have known if I hadn’t taken on the role of PTA President, and the many times I volunteered before becoming President. I’m not only talking about the adult friends I made while having fun during the many events that took
place for the students and families, but all the students from UTK through 5 grade who would greet me no matter how many times we passed each day. Those who would yell out “Hello, Grandma Irene,” and those who actually ran over to give me a hug, which always made my day.
You see, volunteering is not only spending a few hours planning, setting up, and hosting events. It’s being able to be on campus and connecting with families and students. It’s being there for the children….to make their events extra special and to make them feel special. Volunteering is showing them that you care for their school and them. So next year, when the call goes out to help and volunteer, think not of the time you will be putting in planning, setting up, and hosting but of the effect it will have on your child when they see you at school helping to make it a better place and the many students and staff who will get to know you. Maybe some will even yell out your name or run up to give you that special hug (even staff).
Thank you for a wonderful, fun filled year.
Irene Stolarczyk
