At The Chalk Hills Academy, we want to provide an education for life and for us, this means so much more than classroom learning. Our expansive and dynamic enrichment programme provides students with the opportunity to discover new and interesting ideas and to discover hobbies and passions that will stay with them long after they leave school.
All students from KS3 – KS5 are encouraged to engage with activities that will motivate and challenge them, and that further develop the knowledge and skills delivered through our curriculum. The aim of our enrichment programme is for students to continue to learn the many life skills that they would not necessarily obtain in the classroom.
There really is something for everyone. For some, it’s the thrill of taking part in one of the dozens of recreational and competitive sports on offer, others are drawn to the adventure of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, as well as the production of plays and musicals. Every subject offers an extensive programme to support the students through critical periods. In addition, each subject offers a variety of subject specific activities throughout the year. Fun is of paramount importance when it comes to our enrichment programme, making these activities some of the most rewarding aspects of school life. Our co-curriculum is ‘live’, so we are always adapting, growing and changing based on student input, and every year offers new opportunities.
