McIntosh, GFF First Vice President Brigadier (ret.) Bruce Lovell, and GFF General Secretary Ian Alves inspected the site and received a satisfactory update from contracting firm

McGregor’sRealEstateDevelopment. The first phase, which is being funded by One CONCACAF, is expected to cost between 18 – 25 million dollars and will involveclearance,levelling,andfillingof the land.Overall, the complex will be built on just over seven acres of land acquired in 2018 and will house the federation's National Technical Centre, Football Stadium with a maximum seating capacity for 14,000 fans, mini-pitches for some community grassroot programmesandanadministrativeoffice. tremendous source of pride for our entire fraternity and the nation. We have already experienced huge benefits of having the firsthomeoffootball–ourNationalTraining Centre, which is evident by the outstanding performances of our male and female national teams,” noted GFF President WayneForde.

The floodlights will make it possible for the GFF to stage and televise international matches for all national teams, extend the training hours of the Golden Jaguars and Lady Jags, and host and televise night matches for the upcoming Elite League, Women’s Development League and Regional Association Leagues on the FIFA+ digital platform. The project is being funded through the FIFA Forward programmewhichwaslaunchedin2016by FIFAPresidentGianniInfantino.
