Shariff and Jumbo Jet set for head on collision Nand Persaud Karibee Rice and Elcock CP racing stables stake claim As preparations continue for the much anticipated Guyana Cup rematch horserace meet intense action is anticipated as the major horseracing stables in Guyana stake their claim for supremacy at the coveted meet. The charge will be led by the Jumbo Jet Racing stable and the bounty-hunting Shariff Racing stable as they tangle for supremacy. However, they will not get things their way as other major entities like the ever improving Nand Persaud Karibee Rice and Elcock Racing stables will be in the thick of things also with multiple entries. The event, which is organised by The Jumbo Jet Auto Sales and Racing Stable in collaboration with the Rising Sun Turf Club, is set for Sunday at the Rising Sun Turf Club, Arima Park, West Coast, Berbice. The eight race meet has a
$7M price tag consisting of cash, trophies and other incentives. The Jumbo Jet stable will include the likes of Jack is MY Style, It’s My Choice, Release the Beast, Passion for Song, Keep On Swinging, Red Rocket, Isn’t She Charming, and Appealing Harvest. The Shariff Stables will be looking to keep things in control with Princess She Not, Spit Fire, Settling Star, Wichie Poo, Firing Line, Miss Kristina, Campador, Mischief Maker, and Puppy Tail. The Nand Persaud Stable is expected to feature Golden Blue Echo, Honey Flow, Light up Canada, Brave Sky, Blacka and T and T. The Elcock C P racing stable is reportedly entering C.P Got Even, Quiet Dancer, Sweet Return, Secret Escape and Flow Jo among others. Other stables such as Jagdeo, Rising Sun, Singh, Bacchus, Crawford and
Jockey Paul Delph aboard C.P Got Even distancing itself from the rest of the field in a recent feature A and lower event.
Bactowar among others are expected to enter multiple entries. Entries have reportedly touched 65 with horse owners making sure
that their horses are in the best of shapes and are taking no chances as they vie for the lucrative prizes on offer. The feature D and lower
