Get ready for a foot-stompin’, corn-shuckin’ good time!

On behalf of the Corn Festival Steering Committee and the Avon Rotary Club, we are thrilled to welcome you to the 37th Avon Rotary Corn Festival!

Since 1986, this Festival has been a cornerstone event, attracting visitors from across the region. For many in our Club and community, this day is a source of fond memories and has always been a highlight as summer draws to its end – a time when family and friends gather from near and far to celebrate Avon’s rich agricultural history and to delight in all that our community has to offer.

Our work also has a global impact, helping to fund the construction of schools in Nicaragua through Linking Hands for Learning, supporting Rotary International’s continuing fight to end polio, fostering global connections through our exchange programs and partnering with Full Circle Home to assemble gift bags for active duty service members who are away from their families during the holidays.

This year’s Corn Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with food, fun and festivities for the whole family!

Our Club welcomes active, engaged and service-minded community members to join us in this important work. If you would like to make a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of those in our community and far beyond, we encourage you to speak to a Rotarian today, visit avonrotary.org or attend one of our weekly meetings.

We invite you to indulge in mouthwatering festival fare at the Food Court, offering a variety of sweet and savory treats from local vendors, including fresh sweet corn and our famous corn fritters at the Rotary Corn Booth. Tap your toes and enjoy the shows at our three stages, with live entertainment all day from local bands and performers. This year, we’re excited to feature performances at the newly renovated Avon Opera Block. Expand your imagination and explore the amusements in our Kids Zone, featuring Mr. Scribbles, balloon animals and more. Go for the gold in the Corn-Eating Contest!

And don’t forget to take a kernel of the Corn Festival home with you!

The Souvenir Booth is your one-stop shop for Corn Fest swag. This year’s Festival is host to over 150 arts and crafts vendors offering a treasure trove of handcrafted goods – it’s never too early to start your holiday shopping!

Most of all, this event serves to showcase the important work of the Avon Rotary Club and to promote our mission of Service Above Self.

The Corn Festival is our largest annual fundraiser, and all the Club’s proceeds from the event are invested directly into our service work.

Through our fundraising efforts, our Club is proud to support local organizations and causes, including the Avon Free Library, Avon Food Pantry, Scouts of America, Genesee Valley Rotary Camp, Avon Community Theatre, youth sports leagues, scholarship programs and much more.

We would like to say thank you to the sponsors, vendors and volunteers who make the Corn Festival possible, and a special thanks to the Village of Avon, including the Police Department, Fire Department and Department of Public Works, for their years of upport and partnership in this endeavor.

We extend our gratitude to the Corn Festival Steering Committee for their years of experience, hard work and dedication. Their tireless commitment ensures that each Corn Festival surpasses expectations.

This year, as we celebrate our agricultural heritage, we particularly want to acknowledge the remarkable resilience of our community, especially our farmers. Avon has faced historical rainfall and two devastating flood events this year, making their dedication even more profound. We recognize and applaud the incredible efforts of all our farmers. A special thank you goes to J&A Farm Market, whose generous donation of sweet corn and salt potatoes for the Rotary Corn Booth is indispensable. Without their unwavering support, the Corn Festival simply wouldn’t be possible. Their contribution truly embodies the spirit of our community and helps us continue this cherished tradition.

This past year, our Club partnered with other local Rotary Clubs to sponsor a service project with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

With a donation of $5,000 from our Club, including District Grant money from the Rotary Foundation, and through the hard work of dozens of Rotarians, family and friends, we built 37 beds for local children who currently lack a safe and comfortable place to sleep.

As we kick off another memorable Corn Festival, we hope that you will savor the flavors, enjoy the entertainment and make lasting memories with us. Here’s to a fantastic celebration of community spirit and summer’s bounty!
