A well-functioning municipality
Doing away with unnecessary bureaucracy Municipal services are financed with taxpayer money. This requires that every level of government must take a rational approach to using this money as effectively as possible, exercise responsibility and choose cost-effective solutions that benefit residents. Folkets Parti believes that much can be achieved through eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy and focusing more on digital services.
Less administration – more services The municipality of Bergen is the largest employer in the region, with around 19,000 employees. Folkets Parti wants to streamline administrative processes in the municipality. We want good services for all residents and are less concerned with where those who offer these services are employed. The municipality needs more ‘heads and hands’ in schools, healthcare and child welfare services.
