Teen Teen Camp Camp 2023 2023 calling on the same God
![]()
New for 2023:
• Campers title changed to “Students”
• Counselors will be referred to as “Leaders”
• Group Housing Forms will now be two separate forms - 1 for Boy Housing and 1 for Girl Housing.
Processes to keep in mind:
• Parental Authorization Forms - Collect these from your students and bring them to camp check-in with you (preferably alphabetized). Do not send these in ahead of time!
• A Financial Breakdown Sheet must be sent in with every payment that comes to the NextGen office (outside of Campwise) from your church. This includes checks (mail sheet with check) and credit card payments made on the IMN website (scan sheet and email to ngevents@imnag.org).
• A Pastoral Approval Form must be filled out for every leader/volunteer that will be on the camp grounds. This needs to be sent in at a minimum of 15 days before camp starts via mail or email to ngevents@imnag.org
• Background Checks will be completed by the NextGen office through Protect My Ministry. A link will be emailed to every adult (18+) that registers for camp with a digital authorization form to be signed so the background check can be processed.
• Lice Checks need to be completed before arriving at camp. You must bring a completed Lice Check Form to check in.
• Color Teams - We cannot assign color teams until every Group Housing Form has been turned in. The only way to GUARANTEE your color early is to sign up to be a Team Color Captain. Email ngevents@imnag.org with your name and color preference if this is something you are interested in.
• All adults will submit a photo for your identification lanyard that must be worn at all times for security purposes. You can find the upload link on the Camp webpage or scan the QR below.

2023 Camp Registration will be online through Campwise. This platform is created in such a way that parents/guardians have their own log in and will register and pay for their students themselves.
Returning users should login with their same username and password created in a previous year. **If you cannot remember the login information please call tech support (866-433-4548) rather than creating a new account.** New users will need to create an account to get started. Detailed, step by step online registration instructions are available for download on the camp website.
Camp coordinators will receive weekly reports via email letting them know who has registered from their church. If you haven’t done so already please fill out the Camp Coordinator Form on imnag.org/teencamp to make sure we have the correct camp contact info for your church on file. These weekly camp reports will include important info such as contact information, how much money is still owed, and t-shirt size (if purchased). It will also note if the student has an incomplete registration (enrolled) or a complete registration (registered).
If you prefer the student and/or leaders pay your church directly and not us, (the church will be the sole ones responsible for payment) please let us know so we can set registration accordingly for your group.
Group Hold Request will go live on Mar 30, 2023 at 12:00pm
Group Reservations are not required but are helpful for larger groups who would like to ensure space in a camp for their entire group. This is not a required camp process and is an at-will request subject to availability. To reserve spots for your group, fill out the Group Hold Request Form on the camp webpage. These spots will be available on a first come, first serve basis (i.e. those who requested the spots first verified by a timestamp on the form). PLEASE only request what you think you need! We understand that you want to account for the number of students you hope to bring but be mindful the more spaces you hold the less there are to go around.
Groups who reserve spots will receive a Group Hold Registration ID (GHRID). If approved, these will be emailed to your camp coordinator within 5 business days of the submission of your form. Group reservations will expire 2 weeks after Registration opens or 2 weeks after your GHRID has been emailed to your camp coordinator if the request is submited after reigstation is open. All unused spots will then be open to the public.
If you have any questions about camp registration, please do not hesitate to reach out to our office. You can direct all your camp questions to ngevents@imnag.org or 515-276-5493. We are happy to help!
Age Policy: The age policy, along with the programming at camp, is designed according to both the spiritual and physiological needs of students. The Iowa Ministry Network feels it is in the best interest of the students that their camp experience be synonymous with their normalized experience; the normalized experience being the schools where they are currently involved. The minimum grade level required at each camp refers to the grade they just completed in May of 2023. Teen Camp is for those students who just completed 6th grade through 2023 graduates.
Leader Requirements: Teen Camp leaders must be 22 years or older. Leaders will need to register online. All leaders need to complete the pastoral approval form, consent to a National Background check and submit a photo for their ID lanyard. These documents must be received by the IMN office 15 days prior to the start of your camp session. There will be a $10 late fee per leader for documents received after the deadline. Leader documents can be sent via email to the office at ngevents@imnag.org or hard copies can be mailed to 10525 Buena Vista Court, Urbandale, Iowa 50322 ATTN:Camp
Housing: For Teen Camp, we ask that you provide atleast 1 leader (22+ y/o) for every room of students, of the same gender.
Non-Attendee Policy: IMN Summer Camps are CLOSED programs. All activities including evening services are open only to registered students and staff. Any child, student, or adult violating the policy will be asked to leave the grounds.
Parental Authoirization: The Parental Authorization Form, also known as the “Medical Disclaimer”, will be emailed to every student after completing the online registration. A downloadable version will also be available on the Camp webpage. Camp Coordinators should collect these forms from their students and bring them to check in on the first day of camp. Do NOT mail or email these ahead of time. Students who do not have a signed authorization form will NOT be able to attend camp.
Camp Code of Conduct: Our Camp Code of Conduct is congruent with what students would experience in school or in the student ministries of a local church. Each student will be required to read, sign, and date the Code of Conduct form in order to attend camp.
Dress Code: MODESTY. No revealing clothing will be permitted. This includes: short dresses, skirts, or shorts (4 inch inseam), leggings, plunging necklines, spaghetti straps, cut off t-shirts (showing sport bras) or cut off shorts, bikinis, and speedos. Also, please be sure that shorts are long enough to still be visible under oversized shirts.
Lice Checks: It is always our number one priority to protect your students and to help promote a healthy camp environment. Our policy prohibits anyone with head lice to be admitted to camp. Each church should inspect students for lice 14 days prior to attendance and again on departure date. All churches will need to turn in a “Lice Check Form” upon arrival to the camp. These forms are available to download on our website. Churches without the form will be inspected for lice by our first aid personnel and charged $2.00 per person. Students on campus with lice will be sent home.
Medications: Students will need to enter all current medications, along with dispensation instructions, into their online registrations. Leaders are not required to enter their medications into their online registrations. All medication is required to be turned in to the camp first aid personnel upon arrival. This policy includes all leaders and/or volunteers approved to room with students. The camp first aid personnel will be responsible for dispensing all medications.
Prescription and over the counter medications are required to be in their original prescription bottle or container with the dosage and instructions still intact. Please place all prescriptions and medications in a plastic ziploc bag and label with the student’s name, church name and city, number of medications, and medication times. A label template is available to download on the Camp webpage.
Deposits: A nonrefundable $50 deposit is required per student. Registration must be paid in full on or before the first day of camp.
T-shirts: T-shirts are available for preorder for those who registered by June 1st for $15. A limited amount of shirts will be available for $20 in the Camp Store.
Refunds: Refunds must be requested via an official Refund Request Form which can be obtained through our offices. Refunds will be issued at the end of the camp season minus a $50 fee per student. We cannot refund monies for partial attendance of a registered week. No refunds will be given for expelled students.
Early Pick-Up Policy: (and picking up a sick student) No student is allowed to leave the campgrounds without the proper procedure, including legal guardian consent. The only individuals allowed to pick-up a student are his or her legal guardian or listed emergency contact.
Property Damage: Charges for items broken/damaged during the event will be billed to all parties/individuals involved.
Lost & Found: Any lost and found items left on grounds after the conclusion of the event will be held for two weeks. If not claimed during that time period, items will be donated. Claimed items will be shipped back to their owners at their owner’s expense.
