“Motivation comes from momentum. If you are waiting to get motivated, remember that motivation comes from the momentum of a series of small steps taken toward your goal Take a moment to identify a realistic action step to set your plan in motion!”
FEEL, THINK, LIVE, BE... WELL! MASTERING MOTIVATION COMING SOON... AFFINITY CGROUPS! OMING SOON... AFFINITY GROUPS! Walking Running Hiking Snowshowing Skiing/ snowboarding Quilting
Have you ever heard of an affinity group? In the coming County Communicators, there will be a survey available to gather information on how many people enjoy certain activities From there, a group will be created to allow for communication on the next steps, whether that is for introductions or to set a time to meet for the activity. This is open to all employees and is encouraged to those wishing to link up with people with the same interest or interested in learning a new interest
Prioritize self care Start small Get curious Talk to yourself like you would a friend
Kayaking Biking Cards (euchre, pinnacle, rummy, etc)
Internal vs. External Motivation is the driving force behind the actions we take every day. It indicates that we have a “big picture” in mind and have recognized our potential and possibilities to achieve it However, it is natural and normal for motivation to fluctuate There are two forms of motivation: internal and external Internal motivation is wanting to take an action because it is truly what desire, regardless of external influence or rewards. Meanwhile, external motivation comes from the environment around us. So how do we master motivation?
Affinity Group by definition means a group of people linked by a common interest or purpose. Some common interests can be the following: In the survey, it will ask you to provide your name, and email and select which activity you participate in, and will also leave an "other" option for an activity that might not have been listed.
Visualize your success as though you have already achieved it
Jessica Dean, RDN, LDN, NBC HWC
WELLNESS
Chess Fitness Court Stand up paddle boarding
Our motivation and confidence also come from the momentum generated by a series of small action steps and successes, which ultimately lead up to our long term vision for ourselves. It is important to acknowledge that there will inevitably be barriers and disruptions that challenge our momentum and motivation. Fortunately, there are steps we can take to keep our momentum going strong and allow us to learn from our challenges and setbacks
