Scott William Sieffert was elected to his first term as a Grand Traverse County Commissioner on November 8, 2022. Scott left Traverse City for adventure and to pursue his education in 1993 after growing up in Traverse City and graduating from Traverse City High School in 1989. Scott received an Associate Degree in Arts and an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Northern Michigan College in 1992.
After the redistricting became apparent in 2022, while out with his friends and family, Scott looked around at his family, friends, and fellow neighbors and thought to himself, “these people are largely unrepresented ” Therefore, Scott decided to run to change that As a Commissioner, Scott hopes to represent “the little guy, ” his constituents, as well as reduce taxes and slow the spread of government Scott is currently assigned to the Landbank Brownfield Redevelopment and is looking forward to the potential to be added to other boards throughout the year Aside from his full-time employment at Dean Transportation, he currently volunteers as an appointee on the Kingsley Downtown Development Authority as well as the Kingsley Brownfield Redevelopment Authority He has also a Board of Trustees member for Trinity Lutheran Church in Traverse City

The Grand Traverse County / City of Traverse City Facilities Master Plan (FMP) project kicked off two weeks ago with an introductory presentation to department managers from our consultants at TowerPinkster They then conducted facility assessment walk-throughs on March 23 and 24th at the following buildings --
Governmental Center, Jail, Front Street Offices (MSU Extension and Commission on Aging), Prosecutor’s Office, the Health Services Building and the Public Services Building.
Facility assessment walk-throughs for the rest of our buildings will happen during the month of April.
What to know:
Teams including Joe Berry, Chris Forsyth and our experts at TowerPinkster will be walking through each facility to gather baseline assessments of what currently exists There is no need for you to be present during these walk-throughs, however it would be helpful to have all office spaces as accessible as possible during your scheduled time Schedules for the tours will be shared in advance with department managers
Once the walkthroughs are complete, we will be reaching out to schedule conversations with each department to gather more information in the coming weeks.
New member ID cards will be re-issued to all current Priority Health members in April The new member ID cards will include updated pharmacy information including a new BIN#. Members will receive an email to let them know a new ID card is on the way to mitigate any confusion, and it will be important for members to replace their current ID card with the new one. Further, Express Scripts is working to notify pharmacies of the BIN# change to help alleviate any issues when members pick up prescriptions Tentatively, the new ID cards will be released on 4/17 and mailed on 4/18, so receipt should be seven to ten days thereafter.
For more clarification, pharmacies should only use the new BIN information after 4/1. When picking up prescriptions, please request to have your pharmacy use the new BIN information beginning April 1 even if you do not have your new member ID card. If members do not have possession of their new ID card, they should ask the pharmacy to call the Express Scripts Help Desk to obtain updated processing information Help Desk contact information will be built into Express Scripts’ pharmacy processing software for pharmacies to reference. Members and pharmacies can also call Priority Health Customer Service should they experience any challenges with new ID cards or the BIN change
When members receive their new cards, they may also notice a new Priority Health logo that coincides with the Corewell Health rebranding of Spectrum Health. Rebranding updates will roll out in a phased approach over the next year
