4 Pillar Approach 4 Pillar Approach
1 Financial Resources
GSP offers necessity funding for unexpected expenses outside of items, like books and supplies, that are already calculated into your cost of attendance. These grants are awarded year-round, and some grant examples include eye-care, tutoring, and even a travel grant for first-years! Inadditiontogrants,GSPershaveaccesstootherfinancialresources.
2 Advising & Mentorship
We have 2 mentorship programs: peer and alumni. These programs provide personalized support, whether that comes in the form of career guidance, quality time, or a listening ear! All first-years are paired with a peer mentor, andsophomoresareconnectedwithanalumnimentor.
3 Advocacy Work
We want FGLI students to feel proud of their achievements at Georgetown! GSP advocates for FGLI students and amplifies the FGLI community’s visibility on campus through annual events like our #GSProudCampaign.
4 Community Building
We host many events throughout the year such as dinners, workshops, and other fun activities to help create a strong sense of belonging (ahome awayfromhome) forallGSPstudentsduringtheirtimeatGeorgetown!

Full-Time Staff
At GSP, we have a team of full-time staff who elp make GSP’s mission possible. These staff members organize events, review grant equests, advise students, partner with outside ommunities, and do so much more to make Georgetown an equitable place for FGLI students!
Student Board
GSP’s Student Board works with the full-time staff to represent student voices within all GSP initiatives and ensure that the program remains student-centered! The Student Board also advocates across campus for FGLI students and GSP, acting as a bridge between GSP and otherorganizations.

While the national average graduation rate for FGLI students is only 26%, GSP’s graduation rate is 94%! Serving over 2,700 students and alumni over our 20 years, GSP’s support allows FGLIstudentstothriveandsucceedatGeorgetown!
