4 Pillar Approach

GSP offers necessity funding for unexpected expenses outside of items calculated into your financial aid package. Grants are awarded yearround as needed. Some examples are for eye-care, dental care, professional development, and even a free travel grant for first-years!

GSP also offers loan reduction scholarships and partners with campus departments and organizations for discounts.

We have 2 mentorship programs: peer & alumni. All first years get paired with a peer mentor and then in their second year can get connected with an alumni mentor! We do this to provide individual & personalized support on campus.

GSP aims to increase visibility of FGLI community on campus! Annual events like the #GSProud Campaign and more showcase us to Georgetown.

We hold various events (such as dinners, workshops, and more) to help create a home and community for all students while away at college!

Network of Support

Student Leaders

GSP has various student leaders across teams who work with the full-time staff to elevate student concerns within all GSP initiatives. For example, the GSP Student Board serves as the voice of GSP students internally to staff and externally to the greater Georgetown community Our student leaders ensure the program remains student-centered.

Full-Time Staff

At GSP, we have a team of full-time staff who help make the mission of GSP possible. From providing support for students, reviewing grant requests, and working with campus partners within and outside of the Hilltop, our full-time staff help achieve GSP’s mission to make the college experience more equitable for students

While the national average for FGLI students to graduate college is only 26%, GSP’s graduation rate is 94%. Serving over 2,600 students throughout our 20 years, GSP is committed to offering tools to guarantee and aid success for FGLI students at Georgetown!
