A Message from the Board Chair and President/CEO Welcome Girl Scout friends and supporters to our 41st Annual Women of Achievement gala. We are honored to recognize these phenomenal women for their contributions and leadership in their fields of work and their communities, and for being role models to our future generations of leaders. Now, more than ever, it is important for us to honor individuals who are doing extraordinary things during extraordinary times. Kay Fernandez

Global DX Branding & Senior Vice President, Marketing Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A., Inc.

K

ay Fernandez leads the creation of innovative marketing strategies throughout the entire customer journey, building awareness of the Konica Minolta brand to ultimately enhance the customer relationship. Through digital disruption, a focus on customer experience, marketing communications, and channel management, Fernandez works to improve the value Konica Minolta delivers to customers, partners, and employees. Her responsibilities also encompass strategic business development and pricing to support sales efforts for Konica Minolta’s U.S. operations. Prior to her current position, Fernandez spent 12 years with Toshiba America Business Solutions, holding various roles including Director of Product and Solutions Marketing, Director of Strategic Planning, and Vice President of Marketing. Fernandez is an advocate of women in the workplace and established the Step Forward Program at Konica Minolta to inspire women in professional excellence. She leads the board as Board Chair for Books for Kids, a New York based non-profit, promoting literacy among preschool-aged children in under-resourced communities. Fernandez also sits on the board of the YWCA of Northern New Jersey, working to eliminate racism and empower women, and is on the Ocean Council at Oceana, helping to

save the oceans and feed the world. Fernandez holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California - San Diego, and a Blockchain Technologies certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management.


Donna Watridge, RN, BSN, MBA, CCRN-K

Chief Nursing Officer, Hackettstown Medical Center & Newton Medical Center Atlantic Health System launch in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Newton Medical Center and a Hybrid operating room at Hackettstown Medical Center. She led the implementation of a leading-edge electronic health records system for her region, 40 new software programs, a medication dispensing system, and laboratory software.

F

or nearly 30 years, Donna Watridge RN, BSN, MBA, CCRN-K has been a dedicated healthcare provider, maintaining the highest standards for quality and safety while keeping her patients and communities as the top priority. Watridge leads site operations, including Nursing, Surgical Services, Emergency Services, and Patient Experience for Atlantic Health System’s Hackettstown Medical Center and Newton Medical Center. During her tenure with Atlantic Health System, Watridge successfully implemented several new programs, including sports cardiology, cardio-oncology, heart valve, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and bariatric concierge. She also spearheaded the STEMI program's

Her commitment to excellence in patient care is demonstrated by Hackettstown and Newton Medical Center’s achievement of Nursing Improving Care and Health of Elders (NICHE) designations. Both medical centers also earned Level 3 Geriatric Accreditation for their Emergency Departments. As a member of the Organization of Nurse Leaders New Jersey, American College of Cardiologists, and American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, Watridge has been a national voice on medication reconciliation and best nursing management practices. Watridge received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University in New Jersey, and her Master of Business Administration from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. She is also certified in critical care.

N

icole Licciardi is a usercentric digital leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, who has the vision to design a more empathetic world for people, pets, and our planet. In her career, Licciardi is the Chief of Staff and an integral member of the Digital Leadership Team for Mars, Inc., responsible for managing and overseeing special projects and initiatives related to digital exploration and acceleration. She is an imaginative motivator who stirs up and excites leadership teams, influencing the strategy to solve the most meaningful business challenges, while using storytelling to bring the power of digital alive. Licciardi is a true entrepreneur at heart, and her mission is to lead and accelerate purpose-driven user experiences through design and digital.

participating in the mentorship program and volunteers with the non-profit organization Girls Who Code. Most recently, she has represented Mars as a #WomanInSTEM and has a strong drive to educate and empower young women to get more involved in the field of technology. Licciardi lives in New Jersey with her husband Christian, and their rescue pup Bailey. Her deepest passion is art, and you can always catch her enjoying the outdoors, going fishing, playing volleyball, skiing, or hiking.

Licciardi is a graduate of Seton Hall University in New Jersey from which she holds degrees in Information Technology Management and Graphic Design. She is an active alumna The Elinor J. Ferdon Young Woman of Promise Award was founded in 2014 to pay tribute to the former Girl Scouts of the USA National President (1996-1999) and former Girl Scout Council of Bergen County Board Chair (1974-1980). Celebrated for her outstanding leadership of Girl Scouts, Ellie is dedicated to the mission so all girls may reach their full potential. Through this award, we honor Ellie Ferdon’s vision by highlighting an exceptional young woman with a very promising career ahead of her.

Erika Liles

Girl Scout Volunteer & Entrepreneur

Mitzi Golbek Spirit of Girl Scouting Award

E

rika Liles of Cresskill is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Liles worked over a decade in leadership in medical device sales and marketing at Johnson & Johnson. Liles made some of her favorite childhood memories as a Girl Scout Brownie and Junior, with her mother as a troop leader. She embodies the example set by her mother and continues to represent the Girl Scout ideals to help others and improve the world around her. Liles is a committed leader of a Girl Scout Daisy and Junior troop, who is passionate about social justice in the education of girls. She has a heart for building community and reimagining excellence in Girl Scout programming. She is the epitome of going above and beyond,

while taking the road less traveled, always looking for opportunities to better her best. In 2019, Liles developed and executed a robotics program with her first grade Daisy troop. The robotics program has grown to five teams across five troops spanning from Daisies to Juniors. Liles continues to pay it forward by recruiting and helping to train new leaders within her Service Unit. Both of her troops have earned the Journey Summit Pin, the highest award that a Girl Scout can earn as a Daisy and Brownie. Liles is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Her civic work extends beyond Girl Scouts. She is an active member of The Links, Incorporated, Jack & Jill of America, Incorporated, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She attended Hampton University, where she majored in Finance. Liles and her husband Kevin have two daughters, Genévieve and Valentina.

The Mitzi Golbek Spirit of Girl Scouting Award was founded in 2007 to memorialize the former Girl Scouts: Lenni-Lenape Council executive director, who led the council from 1989-2002. Celebrated for her innovation in programming and council growth, Mitzi was an advocate of good food shared with friends and family. Through this award, we honor Mitzi Golbek’s vision and her 39 years as a Girl Scout.


Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey Media Girls These Girl Scouts are part of the 2021-2022 GSNNJ Media Girls Team. They represent our council at events and in interviews, and provide communications support in sharing our stories with the media throughout the year. We thank them all for being a part of Women of Achievement and for bringing the spirit of Girl Scouting to our gala.
