Art Director Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), Petaluma, California May 2005-July 2009 (4 years) Launched and staffed an in-house design studio serving internal and external clients, t­ hereby ­c onsolidating our brand while saving over $700K per year in p­ reviously subcontracted print, email and web-based work. IONS is dedicated to advanced scientific research into human ­c onsciousness. It was founded by Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell after his historic moonwalk. •

Redesigned and produced Shift: at the Frontiers of Consciousness, a full-color, high-end quarterly publication that is distributed worldwide, both in print and online, serving as the ambassador for the mission of IONS.

Handled all promotional marketing and branding work for a biennial international conference, attended by thousands from all over the world.

Developed a project management system to successfully manage, track, archive, and retrieve hundreds of projects and thousands of assets across several departments inside and outside IONS.

Named and created a new brand identity for Voices of Vision, a quarterly set of CDs featuring scientific and spiritual leaders and offered as a premium to donor/members.

Senior Graphic Designer Real Estate Media Corporation, San Rafael, California December 2003-December 2004 (1 year) As part of a small team, designed and produced through pre-flighting and PDFs four real estate magazines per month, each 60 to 120 pages. Scanned, edited, color-corrected and proofed all four-color image files used in the publications. Converted all print files for our online version of the publications. Corporation, San Ramon, California June 1999-June 2000 (1 year) Managed, co-designed and directed the production of the public and corporate web site, as well as all user interfaces for the in-school product—at the time, the nation’s largest in-school ­e ducational Interactive Media Network. Content was exclusively directed to the educational requirements of its 13 to 19 year-old student audience, their teachers, and school administration. Design Director Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, San Jose, California July 1998-May 1999 (1 year) Recruited and contracted as the Design Director for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting’s Internet New Media Group, a pioneering foray into online solutions for their clientele. Designed, art directed, and co-developed ecommerce prototypes, presentations, and demos, as well as the Internet New Media Group’s own web site. Principal MemeSoup, San Rafael, California July 1997-July 1998 (1 year) MemeSoup was a consultancy that specialized in the early integration of online and print branding and promotional campaigns for financial institutions, search engines, online ­e ntertainment and their agencies. Clients included Triad, Berkeley Systems, Clarinet, Individual, Inc. and FCB/Promotions. Principal Artist / Art Director Stormfront Studios, San Rafael, California March 1994-July 1997 (4 years) Art directed and led the creative art team for Madden NFL 96 and Madden NFL 97 (EASports). I conceived and designed the interfaces, and then art directed the development team to offer the first fully-immersive 3D user interface for a video game. I also developed the user i­nterface design for Tony La Russa Baseball 4 (Maxis). I also designed the interfaces, transitional ­animations, and product demos for Byzantine: The Betrayal (Discovery Channel/Multimedia).
