SENIORS NEWS Peggy unburdened by age

Peggy Wright turned 104 on 7 January 2012. She has moved countries, being born in New Zealand and after living in London, Switzerland and Germany as a young woman, Peg made Australia home. Peg now lives at the Morayfield Seniors Rental Accommodation complex. We wish Peggy many more years of good health and happiness.

Clifford House garage sale

FURNITURE, bric-a-brac and plants are some of the items on offer at Clifford House Care Centre’s upcoming garage sale. Taking place on Saturday, March 10th, from 7am to noon, at the Queensland Baptist Care centre in Wooloowin, the proceeds will go towards the running costs of Clifford House and activities for its residents. A spokesperson said that the garage sale will take place in the front car park, with a wide range of items donated by staff, residents and the families of residents on display. Staff at Clifford House are passionate about caring for people and regularly organise fun and engaging activities for residents such as in-house concert performances, outings and trips. A ‘Cafe Clifford’ morning also takes place once or twice a month where residents and their families are invited to enjoy a concert along with special coffees and cakes. If you would like to come along to the garage sale and support a great cause, Clifford House is located at 44 Jimbour Street, Wooloowin.
