OUR WHY

Kenya is at the forefront of the global triple environmental crisis; climate, pollution, and loss of biodiversity.

We believe that education is key to securing a sustainable future. Anzania provides an inclusive space for children to engage in conversations about the environmental crisis. We show them that everyone can be a changemaker. No matter how small they are.

Our innovative Eco Tourism Development combines fun and learning with a sustainable business model.

OUR LOCATION

“NATURE CAN WIN IF WE GIVE HER A CHANCE.”
- JANE GOODALL -

A DESERTED MURRAM PIT

Along the the western edge of the Swara Plains Conservancy, on the outskirts of Nairobi lies an abandoned 60-acre murram pit. It was once a source of sand and gravel for road construction but now stands depleted and lifeless, reduced to dry dust and rubble. This neglected landscape serves as the ideal backdrop for a remarkable tale of transformation.

From the ashes and dust of this barren wasteland we will create a vibrant centre of learning and adventure: Anzania.

OUR LOCATION TELLS A STORY

... OF TRANSFORMATION

...OF REPAIR & RENEWAL

When given an opportunity, nature proves its resilience, revitalizing scorched landscapes into flourishing ecosystems. We demonstrate that even in the face of adversity, nature can thrive. In this forsaken lunar landscape, depleted by human expansion, a glimmer of hope emerges. Anzania, with its transformative vision, will breathe new life into this desolate landscape and restore its vibrancy and purpose.

....OF HOPE

The restoration of the quarry is a te to our commitment to restoring our relationship with the natural world.

SWARA PLAINS CONSERVANCY

The Swara Plains Conservancy is located approximately 35 km southeast of Nairobi, along the Mombasa highway and spans 20,000 acres.

It is famous for its natural beauty and wildlife, featuring vast African savannah grasslands, striking yellow bark Acacia trees, abundant free-roaming game such as wildebeest and giraffe and a rich bird population of around 320 species.

The Conservancy acts as a crucial wildlife corridor for the migration of animals between the Nairobi National Park and Amboseli, Tsavo and Serengeti National Parks. In recognition of this the Conservancy was partially integrated with the Nairobi National Park in 2020, solidifying its significance in protecting and preserving the region’s ecological treasures.

ts value to the long-term resilience of NNP mid rapid urbanization is highlighted through partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service.

THE POWER OF PLAY DIVERSE PLAYSCAPES

To truly engage children in environmental issues, it is crucial for them to not only grasp the significance of our natural world conceptually but also to develop a genuine love and appreciation for it.

At Anzania, we achieve this by providing ample opportunities for kids to immerse themselves in the wonders of nature through our captivating and exhilarating playgrounds.

We have envisioned several playscapes including; ziplining, high rope courses, bicycle routes and other outdoor adventures. Through play, we ignite their passion for the outdoors, nurturing a lasting connection with the environment.

*Adults are welcome to join in the fun too!
