RECONNECTING WITH THE WILD
With urbanization and the rise of digital technology, children are increasingly removed from the natural world. Urban centres act like concrete jungles with a lack of public green space. Structured lifestyles have replaced the freedom to explore and connect with nature. Anzania seeks to bridge this growing disconnect and to enhance children’s development and wellbeing, repairing their connection to nature and inspiring advocates of action. Our outdoor creative play gardens nurtures this reconnection.
A PLAYGROUND FOR THE WILD AT HEART
Anzania's playground is a sprawling 10-acre paradise, the largest playground in East Africa. It will feature a variety of distinct play areas, each with its own unique planting scheme and focus. From a bamboo forest inviting exploration to a towering timber treehouse, water play zone, and a balance challenge area, every corner of Anzania will spark imagination and curiosity.
Enveloping these diverse play spaces is a carefully curated plant palette. This rich botanical environment, combined with stimulating play opportunities, will create a captivating, fun and educational experience.
LEARNING FROM NATURE
At Anzania children ignite a love for nature through our immersive outdoor learning experiences. Our interactive displays and games turn the wonders of the natural world into an exciting adventure. Children can explore, discover, and learn as they engage with hands-on activities and uncover unexpected wonders. Anzania offers a unique and inspiring setting for children to connect with nature. Anzania is more than just an outdoor space; it's an interactive field museum designed to spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the environment.
PLAYGROUND STRUCTURE

Anzania’s playground is thoughtfully designed to ensure easy movement between its unique play zones. Each area flows seamlessly into the next, encouraging children to explore different activities, from the bamboo forest to the water play zone or the towering timber treehouse.
The interconnected layout sparks curiosity and keeps the adventure alive as kids transition effortlessly between the diverse spaces. To complement this, two restaurant areas are strategically placed at opposite ends of the playground, offering convenient spots for families to relax and recharge. The overall design ensures a cohesive, engaging experience that invites exploration and enjoyment for all.

The towering treehouse, a magical and captivating centerpiece of Anzania, invites visitors of all ages to climb, play, and let their imaginations soar.
As children explore this enchanting space, their minds wander and discover the endless possibilities that this magical treehouse offers. The treehouse is a testament to the power of imagination, where children can transform ordinary moments into extraordinary adventures.

FANTASY LAND
What does it look like to get lost in a world of fantasy and adventure? Come to our fantasy land and be amazed by the fantastical creations within nature. There are sculpted animals and homes indigenous to Kenya to experience. Places where children can hide away, tell stories, make music, role play and imagine themselves in another world.
MAJI LAND
A space where children of all ages can come together to transform the world around them through splashing, feeling, kicking, storing, guiding and pumping in water. This space will incorporate places for children to problem solve as they play and move water along trails together.

MAZE

CLIMBING & BALANCE LAND
Here children push the boundaries of what they thought they could achieve, as they climb across tree logs, trail along nets and balance up to 6 meters above the ground. It’s a place of adventure, thrill and challenge. However you can choose how much you want to challenge yourself, there are balancing activities for children as young as 3 years old to comfortably experience.

MAKER FURAHA
Using loose natural parts, sand and other reusable materials, children of all ages can create their own spaces to play. Here children solve as they manipulate the world around them to create their own objects of play.
SPORTS & CONVENTION AREA
Area for children and adults to play football, basketball, netball, volleyball
REST NOO
These cozy corner areas where children can take a break from play, allowing them to recharge before jumping back into activities. For parents and guardians, rest nooks provide comfortable spots to observe and engage with their kids, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
INCLUSIVE PLAY
Anzania's playground will be a welcoming, inclusive space designed to cater to children of all ages and abilities. The play area will feature a diverse range of elements and spaces, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Accessibility is a top priority. The playground will feature wheelchairaccessible surfacing and platforms, and clear signage will guide visitors, including the use of different colors for play zones, Braille and large print options.
Safety is paramount. The playground will be thoughtfully designed with multiple vantage points, allowing children to observe the play area before entering. Our robust child safety policies will ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all.
INTERGENERATIONAL PLAY
Intergenerational play within our playgrounds foster connection and learning between different age groups, creating a space where children, parents, and even grandparents can interact together. These inclusive designs encourage physical activity and shared experiences, helping to bridge generational gaps while promoting social and emotional growth.
