Recipients of the 2019 Community Service Awards Announced! Winners have been selected for the 2019 Newport Daily News Community Service Awards. Presented by National Grid, the awards recognize citizens of Newport County who have served Newport County with years of dedicated, unselfish service. She will be responsible for identifying, developing and originating residential mortgage loans in the Portsmouth, Tiverton, and Little Compton geographic area.

For the past several years, St. Paul’s Faith Community has been committed to creating a place both safe and supportive to all people in recovery. St. Paul’s hosts a variety of eleven Recovery Programs weekly, six days a week and a Meditation every Tuesday evening, followed by a Freestyle Drum Circle from 5:30 to 8 pm.

St. Paul’s will host a “Spiritual Recovery Retreat,” led by Rev. Dr. Jaegil Lee, on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm, at the church, in Barber Hall, 12 Marlborough Street, Newport, RI. The retreat is open to everyone seeking a deeper relationship with their Higher Power. The retreat is free and open to everyone in the community. Participants may bring a bag lunch.

Join St. Paul’s for the beginning of an exciting new venture. St. Paul’s Recovery Committee will host “Recovery Café.” As people in recovery, people actively supporting loved ones who have struggled with addiction, or people seeking intentional community, we will come together in compassionate fellowship to share our experience, strength, and hope. They will begin with a book study: Breathing Under Water by Richard Rohr. The Recovery Café will start on Thursday, October 24 from 6 to 7 pm and Friday, October 25 from 9 am to 10 am. The group will meet weekly at the church in Barber Hall.
