Key Club Spotlight

Annville-Cleona Key Club has been doing an amazing job serving their community. They got especially involved during December by partipating in Wreaths Across America, Caitlyn Smiles Kits, Nursery help, fundraising, and more. They even attended a Kiwanis meeting.

District Convention This year the Pennsylvania Key Club District Convention is back in person after being virtual last year. District Convention is a chance for the entire state of Key Club to gather together to learn how to lead within Key Club and have fun! Convention offers a variety of activities ranging from speakers to workshops.

Convention is set for April 1 and 2 at the Penn Stater. A variety of District Convention options are available to Key Clubbers interested in attending DCON. For more information on DCON, you can reach out to your Key Club adviser or me!

Lieutenant Governor Elections If you are interested in getting involved in Key Club on the district level, running for Lieutenant Governor may be for you. Lieutenant Governors act as the connecting piece between clubs in their area and the entire state of Pennsylvania! There are 20 divisions in Pennsylvania, and a LtG helps to lead each one. As LtG, you create newsletters, communciate with clubs in your division, work with other LtGs on committees, and more!

Although it does require dedication, it is a rewarding task!

If you have any interest in running for Lieutenant Governor or are just curious about what the position entails, please reach out to me. I am happy to answer any questions that you may have.

The election process is a key aspect for all of the division, not simply the candidates running for office. In the Lieutenant Governor election, each Key Club in Division 14 can have as many attendees as they please to watch the election and ask the candidates questions after their speeches. However, each club may only contribute two voting representatives. The election is an important process in order to make sure that someone is elected for the 20222023 term to serve Division 14!

The election will be held virtually on Sunday, February 20 at 3 p.m. Please check you inbox for additional information and forms, and encourage your fellow officers to attend!

Thirst Project Looking to get involved in a fundraiser through Thirst Project?

Maybe Thirsty 30 is for your club!

Thirst Project raises money to build freshwater wells in places without access to clean drinking water. They strive to end the global water crisis.

Thirsty 30 utilizes many members of Key Club. Their website includes step-by-step instructions on how you can get involved.

Reminders Secretaries, the January Monthly Report Form is due on February 5.

The form can be found here. Monthly Report Forms help connect your Key Club to the district level. If you have any questions, just let me know!

If you know any fellow Key Club officers that have not submitted the Officer Information Report, please have them fill out this form.

Fun Facts There are 11 International Trustees along with a President and Vice President that lead KCI. There are Key Clubs in 40 countries!

A Key Club District is not always just one state!
