granting those wishes. Funding for the Christmas Wish Project comes from the generosity of area businesses and residents and there are several ways donations can be made. Beginning on Dec. 1, an individual can purchase a specified gift (as aired on KTTN) and drop off the gift at Farmers State Bank, Dave’s Body Shop or the radio station. Monetary donations will also be accepted at those same locations and will be used to purchase specific gifts. Also on Dec. 1, individuals can visit the Christmas Wish Tree at Farmers State Bank and pick up
a tag, purchase the gift and return the gift with the tag attached to the bank. Mrs. Helmandollar said the community has been tremendous supporters of this project for over 30 years, something for which Kiwanis members are quite thankful. “The holidays can be an especially stressful time for families, particularly those with limited incomes,” she said. “The Kiwanis Club, in conjunction with this caring community of individuals and businesses, is thrilled to help keep the magic of Christmas alive for children in our community.”
