Photo: Alun SedgmoreKeep the faith! Shoal Bay’s win at the Croome back in March 2023 left many scratching their heads and even I questioned the validity of his time performance that day. Three subsequent disappointing runs did little to dispel these initial reservations yet one year on, and after a hat trick of wins, culminating in a gutsy win over Captain Biggles at Mollington, we can finally put those doubts to bed. A time figure of 110 ranks as his best since September 2021, and, still only 11 years of age, he should find further success on the veteran circuit next year
Elsewhere on the Warwickshire card there were fast time wins for Drakes Well (116) and Grace A Vous Enki (116), the latter keeping up his quest for the leading horse title Close behind Drakes Well was I’m Spellbound (116) –sent off favourite here to get his career back on track after a crashing final fence fall at Larkhill and a below par return at Chaddesley. Although ultimately falling short, this was a much-improved effort from the runner-up who can gain compensation before the season’s end.
Stamina limitations have been the stumbling block to Humaniste’s (122) career but he clocked a solid Open standard time figure when scoring at the Stevenstone He is a useful performer on his day.
Caballo Diablo (108) is another who has suggested in the past that he finds three miles a little stretching, but he made no mistake at Witton Castle and is perhaps on an upward curve. A flat track would appear imperative.
The following Saturday ,a large Holnicote crowd witnessed the belated pointing debut of Ocean Drifter (110), an expensive 95K purchase at the sales back in 2019, but missing from action since a run over fences in November 2022. His previous profile suggests that he will not be inconvenienced by a drop down in trip and showing a good turn of foot here, he may have Hunter chase possibilities.
There is no better indicator of future promise than a maiden run in a relatively quick time Yellow Car’s (102) victory in division two at Kingston Blount looks one to fit that bill. He had been very considerably handled on his debut at the Tedworth, when virtually friendless in the market, but that race had thrown up several subsequent winners, and he was the centre of a substantial gamble here – sent off a warm Even money favourite. His supporters had little cause for concern with Yellow Car running out a smooth six length winner from the Ellis trained Washbrook. His sire, Malinas (GER), has been responsible for a host of classy jumps performers such as Dark Raven and, latterly, Broadway Boy, and although not quite in that league perhaps, Yellow Car is definitely one for future interest.

Rebekah Bell, who hails from Lulworth in Dorset, is the second novice rider who trainer Max Comley has guided to debut success in the saddle this season. Despite not coming from a horsey background, and not making her race-riding bow until March, the 20-yearold beat none other than all-time leading jockey Will Biddick when winning on Ryan’s Fancy at Flete Park earlier this month. Jake Exelby caught up with her to find out how she got involved with pointing… and why Max buys the biscuits.
Tell me about yourself and your background in the sport
I went to pony club from the age of eight until I was 17, then went to the British Racing School in Newmarket to do their 18-week course After that, I went to work for Anthony Honeyball for two years, which is where I developed my interest in pointing.
I wanted to work in a pointing yard and had gone to racing school with Max’s girlfriend Ellen, who told me they needed staff I rode out there last summer, really enjoyed it and started there full-time in August.
How did you come by Ryans Fancy?
He’s owned by a family syndicate – my nan, grandad, mum, dad, aunt, and uncle! He was advertised on Facebook and we bought him in September
Talk me through the season so far – and why you haven’t always been riding Ryans Fancy
We thought he’d be revved up (on his seasonal debut) at Larkhill so put James King on board to get the best out of him, then I didn’t ride him at Kingston Blount as it was a competitive race, so we decided on James again.
My first ride at Ampton was a car crash! It didn’t go well – my hat slipped, then my goggles, so I couldn’t see anything, and I lost my stirrups. I sent him into the ditch and fell out of the side door! Emotions were mixed – I was proud of myself for doing it, but disappointed – Rhiannon Fletcher had won on her first ride But I knew I could only improve and was looking forward to the next time
Tell me what it felt like to win at Flete Park
I was taking on Will Biddick and James King and, as a novice, was the least experienced in the field. But Ryan knows his job and I trust him, so knew I’d be a passenger I was sat at the back most of the way round and crept away, then got him going down the hill. I found myself in front two out and kicked on. I think Will congratulated me afterwards, but it was all a bit of a blur – I was over the moon and so proud that my mum was there. He’s a cracking horse
BY JAKE EXELBYWhat are your plans for the rest of the season and beyond?
Hopefully I’ll have another ride on Ryan… maybe even another win. Further on, I’d love to get my Category A licence to ride under rules and have a spin round Cheltenham. In the long term, I’d like to own horses myself.
What do you enjoy most about pointing?
I only really started going pointing when I was at Anthony’s and, since then, it’s been a dream of mine to ride in a race I used to say to my mates, ‘That’ll be me one day’. To actually be doing it feels crazy, particularly as my family aren’t as passionate about racing as me
Which other horses of Max’s would you most like to ride in points?
I’ve got a soft spot for Arknell. He’s a lovely boy but quirky – if he doesn’t want to do something, he won’t.
I’d also like to ride Oscar Montel, who’s a lovely safe jumper who would give me a good spin. Rhiannon said I could have a go on him – we could do a little swap.
Which other jockeys do you admire and why?
Toby McCain-Mitchell has a great attitude to the sport and James is fantastic at what he does. Under rules, Rachael Blackmore.
Ryans Fancy, Rebecca Bell (1st) Conditions (Level 2), 2m4f at Flete ParkWhat would you do if you were in charge of the sport?
I’d make it more accessible At the moment, you need to log-in to look at entries and results. I’d also put up live streaming so you don’t actually have to be at the races to watch them.
What would you do if you weren’t involved with horses?
Probably something science based. I’ve always been interested in science and was good at chemistry at school.
Who are your favourite musicians and TV shows?
I like the 1975 Every album is very different, and I’ve been to see them live twice. I’ve just finished watching Baby Reindeer As a series, it’s really good and – if you think about it – it’s crazy how easy it is to be a stalker I like the way they highlight these issues in the programme
What superpower would you like and why? Reading people’s minds to see what they’re thinking about me!
Do you have a nickname?
On a daily basis, it’s ‘Bek Bek’. Rhiannon is ‘Rhi Rhi’, and it’s caught on. They also call me Ondaback because I’ve had about 20 falls this season!
Tell me a story about Max
If you fall off, you have to buy the biscuits. At the start of the year, when the horses were coming in, Max was being a little bit cocky, saying, ‘Who’s going to be the first to buy the biscuits?’ I was on a young filly, who was spinning round and throwing shapes. Max was on (experienced multiple winner) Wagner, who dropped his shoulder and threw him on the floor Guess who had to buy the biscuits!
SATURDAY 11TH MAY 2024
By Kirsty BoutflowerFollowing a rare and beautiful display from the Aurora Borealis overnight across Exmoor, the picturesque course at Holnicote seemed determined to continue this theme Bathed in glorious sunshine, punters and families and even a 30 plus French contingent from Longnyau-Perche in Normandy, arrived en masse to enjoy some excellent racing with over 50 runners resulting in first time wins for two jockeys, Ashley Dascombe and Ollie Chamings, winners for National title contenders, James King and Izzie Marshall, and a training double for Warwickshirebased Julie Wadland while there was plenty of value to be had with only one favourite obliging all day.
Ashley Dascombe got a huge reception returning to the winner’s enclosure on Canastero after getting the better of Will Biddick and Beau du Brizais to take the Members race by nearly two lengths. With the six runners tightly grouped, Ashley stalked the odds-on favourite in a bid to turn the tables having finished third to him last year Hitting the front with two to jump, the new application of blinkers to Canastero seemed to galvanise improvement and although Beau du Brizais tried hard to rally, they held on for a popular local win. For trainer Chrissie Gray, this was even more special as it was a birthday winner and her husband Carroll said “this is all down to Ashley who was
adamant that he needed blinkers and it’s paid off.” Nineteen year old Ashley, who comes from Porlock, rides out for several trainers and acquired Canastero from Philip Hobbs and Johnson White, saying “I worked at the yard and Johnson suggested he would be the perfect horse for me to point so I am hugely grateful to him.”
The Novice Riders race can often throw up a surprise and when Westhill, who had been errant throughout the race unseated at the last, jockey Ollie Chamings capitalised on his good fortune to record a first victory and realise his ambition, to ride a winner which his dad, Nigel had never done Twenty-one year old Ollie is currently at
Lagan Valley and Izzie Marshall (1st) Mixed Open Photo: Tim HoltUniversity on his placement year with Symonds & Sampson in Dorchester and rides out for trainer Hannah Clarke. A nephew of NH trainer, Patrick Chamings, whom he also rides out for when needed, Ollie explained “we bought the horse privately as he was a good schoolmaster and I’ve been placed on him a few times. He absolutely winged the last when I asked him and I think he still would have beaten the horse that unseated as he was going the better.”
Trainer Julie Wadland was saddling her 6th winner of the season when Lagan Valley took the Mixed Open in a close finish which went to the judge as he and favourite, Ninth Wave flashed past the post together With Izzie Marshall determinedly making a bid for the National Lady Jockeys Championship, they were level over the last and the 3lbs he received from the runner-up may have made the difference as the distance was given as a short-head. Afterwards Izzie said “ I really think the lighter weight helped him as had been lumping round a lot more recently but he also loved the quicker ground here and really bounced off it.”
Julie’s second winner came in the penultimate, the Restricted, when her mare, Bushtucker Park benefitted from the lightning-quick pace set by long-time leader, Myunclecharlie, who was 20 lengths clear at one stage, and she was the only one who could land a blow under James King. James closed the leader down with 4 fences to jump and slipped the remainder of the field to coast home by 25 lengths and record the easiest win of the day. Owner Jo Mann who was here to greet her winner with
husband Richard explained “We bought her from an advert on Facebook and James used to ride her at Olly Murphy’s. I had always wanted one by Walk in the Park and just fell in love with her.”
Cameron Johnstone-Baker was riding his second career winner when taking the Conditions race on his family-owned Ocean Drifter who was making his pointing debut. A winner of a point in Ireland, he then went on to win over hurdles for Oliver Sherwood for whom Cameron worked for two “amazing” years. After some time on the side-lines, he was given to Cameron at the start of the year and he was quick to express his thanks to former owners, Tim Syder, Dominic Burke and trainer Oliver Sherwood. Cameron who is now based with Robbie Llewellyn said “he gave me the most amazing feel out there. He jumped amazingly and I managed to fill his lungs up when needed and as I knew he’d stay well, it was his race to lose.”
Trainer Harry Ryall was busy calculating points in the paddock as he welcomed Scoresby back in after the last race, an Intermediate Currently vying with Julie Wadland for the Wessex smaller trainer’s title, this was a welcome winner for the team and their sixth within the Area this season and there is now half a point between the two. Scoresby has now contributed twice to that total following wins at Milborne St Andrew and here for his emotional owner Bob Butler who could hardly speak in the winner’s enclosure. Rob David rode a patient race on the winner, quietly biding his time at the rear of the field before cruising into the lead after a good jump at the open ditch. Rob explained, “I had
so much horse underneath me and I really hit the front too soon. He’s done really well here to carry so much weight as he’s not the biggest,” while Harry confirmed that his next target would be the two mile Hunter Chase at Stratford as he felt the track would suit him well.
A horse that would soon be heading off to the sales was Maiden winner, Jimmy Hurdstrom trained by Eamonn O’Donnabhain, head lad for Tom Lacey A nicely-bred son of Order of St George, he was bought at the Landrover Sale and would now go to Doncaster to be sold. Jockey Sean O’Connor, who was riding his second winner in a week for Eamonn said afterwards, “He’s got some engine on him!” This looked like a fair maiden as 14 went to post in surely one of the biggest fields Holnicote has seen for some years and credit should go to the team behind the ground including Johnson White, Jeremy Scott and Mike Harding.
The racing had been preceded by a Charity race which was won in convincing fashion by Emma Landau on The Raven’s Return. Emma whose chosen charity was the Injured Jockeys Fund was herself no stranger to the winner’s enclosure having ridden 39 winners and her experience showed. Husband Guy Landau explained, “The horse who daughter Molly has won twice on over hurdles, has had 18 months off and will now go back into training with Chris Gordon.” Emma rides out locally for the Hobbs/White yard and was torn between riding here and taking her favourite, Ballee to Haydock for the 3.15.
SUNDAY 12TH MAY 2024
By Jake ExelbyA sunny Sunday saw a large crowd at Kingston Blount treated to a winning swansong from course specialist Gabrial The Great, James King as good as clinch the Mens Championship with a treble and Izzie Marshall go one ahead of Gina Andrews in their nip and tuck battle for the Ladies equivalent.
“We must stop meeting like this every year,” I quipped to Gabrial The Great’s owner-trainer-rider Thomas Murray as they dismounted in the winners enclosure after the Farol Mens Open, in which eight faced the starter “I don’t know,” he replied with a smile “I quite enjoy it.” The 15-yearold, taking this race for the third year in a row and the fourth time in total, and increasing his course tally to six, was held up early before making smooth progress up the hill on the second circuit. He went second with five to jump but looked held by leader Slievegar until rallying after the last and getting his head in front in the last 100 yards to score by half a length. Eeze A Saint was 11 lengths third.
“That’s him retired now,” confirmed Thomas, who trains Gabrial The Great and one other at Kersoe, near Evesham. “I said I’d do it if he won today. He’s just a legend and loves it here – I only gave the cup back last week and said I might be picking it up again soon!” The evergreen veteran only made his seasonal debut on Monday and Thomas said, “He ran brilliantly and got back in one piece, so we thought we’d come here. They went a nice clip, and he wasn’t too keen, and picked them off bit by bit. I was glad when Toby (McCain-Mitchell, on the runner-up) came off the final bend so I could use the rail. He just put his head down. Thomas added that, unlike Gabrial The Great, he has no plans to retire yet, “Although people probably think I should! I’d like to win a Hunter Chase first.” His only regret on an emotional day was that wife Jess, at home with their four-month-old son Connell, wasn’t here to share in the victory
James King opened his account in the first race, the five-runner Tree Barn at Christmas
Common Conditions Race (Level 2). The champion-elect’s task on the Fred Hutsby trained Mot Pour Mot was made easier by odds-on favourite Southfield Lily’s reluctance to start. The mare was left 30 lengths and, while she made ground to be with every chance up the hill second time round, the effort had taken its toll and Mot Pour Mot – who had jumped into the lead four out and soon gone clear – won by an easy 11 lengths, with Nasee, who had flattered briefly, 27 lengths back in third.
It was an improved performance by Mot Pour Mot, one of five horses owner Marcine Marshall has in training with Fred. “He’s the secret,” she laughed afterwards. “I’ve known him and the family for years and he has a unique way of training. That’s my fourth winner of the season – three have come with Shoal Bay.” Fred was his usual low-key self afterwards, explaining his rich vein of form as, “The time of year –they’ve run themselves fit by now!” Asked if the South Midlands Area trainers title, for which he is in pole position, was a target was met with a simple, “We’ll see.”
James was riding Mot Pour Mot in place of Fred’s 16-year-old son Tom, now ‘retired’

for the season after five wins, to retain his novice status next year, and in the middle of his GCSEs. “I’ve been riding a bit for Fred,” he confirmed, “Filling in the gaps around Tom. He’s in good form and a man to keep on your side Hopefully I’ll have a few more for him.”
The Richardsons Chartered Accounts Maiden, with 16 declarations, was split on the day into two divisions of eight and the first went the way of James again, on Max Comley’s Get Cracking. It was the six-year-old’s first run for Naunton-based Max Comley, and he was untroubled, taking the lead five out and scoring by 23 lengths – it looked longer –from the only other finisher Heathrow
“We got him from Myles Osborne a few weeks ago on behalf of owners SW Racing to help with my championship bid and I thought he’d have a good chance,” admitted Max, referring to the leading trainer title Get Cracking’s success saw him go to 20 wins, two behind Josh Newman in a tight contest. “It’s going to be a big week,” Max told me, “And we’ve got a few to run at Cothelstone We’ve still got 10-12 to run and will give it everything we’ve got.” Max is hoping to take out a rules licence next
season, saying, “I’m doing my modules in June, but we want to keep going with the pointers too, which my partner Ellen Wylie will train.”
James completed his treble – and trainer Luke Price a double – when Mini Fortune prevailed in what looked to this observer to be the closest finish of the day in the Bonner and Babington Estate Agents Intermediate, in which four ran. The mare –winning her fourth race in a row – looked out of contention when losing her place after a mistake five out, but kept battling, closed on Lunar Contact jumping the last and scored by half a length after a tussle all the way up the run in. Long-time leader Josh The Plod was twenty lengths away in third.
“She was my first runner of the season… and first winner,” said Luke of Mini Fortune, who broke her duck at Cocklebarrow in January “We haven’t over-raced her, and owner Nathan Pyne has been patient, and we may keep going with her – we’ll see how she comes out of this.” Quizzed about the manner of her victory compared to easy successes on her last two starts, he admitted, “Sometimes mares make hard work of it. And she was facing better opposition on a galloping course.”
“I’m over the moon,” beamed the winning rider “She’s improved all season – the ground was too soft for her in the winter – she’s very tough and all credit to Luke, who hasn’t got to the bottom of her yet.” James, moving on to 47 for the season and now 16 clear of Will Biddick – who drew a blank at the weekend – was counting no chickens about the leading rider title, but admitted, “It’s a great position to be in.” and nominated the “revelation” Grace A Vous Enki, on course to be this year’s champion horse, as the best he’s ridden this campaign.
Luke had initiated his double in the Highwayman Inn at Checkendon Restricted Race, in which only three started. The
long odds-on improving eight-year-old, winning for the third time on the bounce was untroubled, jumping out in front for Izzie Marshall and never facing a challenge, going on to score by the length of the runin and 20 lengths from Equus Flight and Highland Glory
“James King found us for him from Chris Barber and we thought he’d improve – he was second to Jonbon in an Irish point!” smiled Luke, acknowledging the difficulty of improving one from the young Dorset handler “We brought him out late this season, but I don’t know if he’ll run again as he likes it soft.” It was the trainer’s 12th win (he soon moved on to 13) of a weatherinterrupted season and he admitted, “That’s not as many as I’d have liked, but so many meetings have been abandoned. I’ve still got plenty to run.” Explaining the change of rider, he said simply, “It worked well today and it’s good to give Izzie some help.”
Trainer-rider Lily Bradstock gained some compensation for her misfortune with Southfield Lily when Myth Buster took the College and County Estate Agents Ladies Open. Five went to post and Tigerbythetail was the odds-on favourite but, despite overtaking long-time leader For Rita three out, he couldn’t shake off Myth Buster, who quickened to the front round the final bend and stayed on to win by one-andthree-quarter lengths. For Rita never gave up and was just one-and-a-quarter lengths further back.
“That’s the first time he’s had his ground this season,” confirmed the trainer’s mother Sara, who now holds a rules licence following the sad passing of husband Mark. “He can’t jump out of the soft and pulled two shoes off at High Easter. We didn’t run him at Cheltenham because the heavens opened, and he may go for a Newton Abbot Hunter Chase now.”
Lily, who was saddling her second winner in her own name, confirmed her mother’s
views, telling me, “He’s a very good horse on good ground and schooled brilliantly last week after losing his confidence jumping in soft going.” Talking about her string, which numbers four at the moment but which she hopes to increase next season, she said, “Southfield Lily will run again, we’ll see how Myth Buster comes out of this and we haven’t decided about Kevin (the legendary Southfield Theatre).”
The second division of the Richardsons Chartered Accounts Maiden was won by Graeme McPherson’s Yellow Car, building on his promising Larkhill debut in February Always holding a good position behind the two runaway leaders, he took it up five out (as so many winners did on the day) and – despite being joined by debutant Washpool (one of three runners-up from three rides for Gina Andrews) at the penultimate, found more and quickened away from the last to take the spoils by six lengths under Toby McCain-Mitchell. Definite Dream, one of the early tearaways, stayed on for a distant third.
With the trainer absent, his representative Tia Harrison fielded questions afterwards, saying of the six-year-old – a well-backed even money favourite – “I look after him and ride him every day. He’s very well and we’ve always had belief in him. He ran green at Larkhill and is still inexperienced but took the tricky track in his stride today.” As for future plans, “He may go under rules eventually.”
The successful jockey Toby told me afterwards, “He got a nice lead, and they went off a bit quick (somewhat of an understatement). He was very professional, found his own rhythm, saved a bit when he hit the front and ran on again.” Toby, who also rode Yellow Car at Larkhill, explained how he came by the mount “I ride out for Christy Woods and Graeme’s across the road. Last time, the penny only dropped for him halfway round, and winners have come out of that race, so I was confident today.”
SUNDAY 12TH MAY 2024
By Granville TaylorDean Summersby sent out four winners from his six runners at the Eggesford meeting from his Little Acres yard near Lifton. After a slow start to the season the Summersby team has hit form in the last couple of months and the Devon trainer was saddling his 13th winner of the season at this popular Upcott Cross fixture, run on good ground which was slightly softer at the top end of the track.
The exciting six-year-old Jet Smart, with his quintet of owners cheering him on, started the ball rolling when finishing off strongly to beat Whitsand Bay in the Intermediate with the other Summersby runner Liberty Rock back in third after making much of the running. The in-form trainer is not tempted to pitch Jet Smart into hunter chase company yet, despite the attraction of the Restricted Final at Stratford. Jockey Darren Edwards reported “He is a lovely generous horse who is enjoying his pointing and there was a bit left in the tank,”
Hell Red quickly added to the Summersby / Edwards haul by taking the featured Mixed Open, backed from 7-4 to 4-5. The grey seven-year-old drew clear from the top of the hill to beat the useful Quintin’s Man easing up The trainer reported. “He is owned by a small syndicate and was bought privately from Paul Nicholls. He needs good ground. He can’t go in the soft and it even changes the horse’s mood working on the moor when it’s soft. We might think about the hunter chase at Newton Abbot at the end of May.”
Dean’s daughter Charlotte got into the act by steering Honest Opinion to an easy victory in the Grass Roots race The genuine mare had not visited the winner’s enclosure since her Flete Park success two years ago, but went on her merry way after Jabbea had uncharacteristically crashed through a wing at half way when close up “I knew she was in really good form when she came off the lorry,” said the rider wearing the colours of owners Redheads on Tour – consisting of mother Emma Summersby plus daughters, as Emma confirmed to my rather naïve enquiry asking who are the redheads.
Fortune And Favour Martin McIntyre (1st) farside jumps the last with King Roque Will Biddick (3rd) and See You Kauto Callum Pritchard (2nd) just behind. Goffs Young Horse Maiden
The Summersby team struck again when Lakota Warrior jumped superbly and made all to win the Hunt race, chased home by recent Haldon hunter chase winner Hearts Corner 16-year-old Rian Corcoran, who has enjoyed pony race wins at Upcott Cross in the past and now works for Will Biddick, is one of the finds of the season and was enjoying his fifth pointing success
Holkham Hall was a deserving winner of the six-year-old and over Maiden. The lightly raced eight-year-old had come up against progressive types at Kilworthy and Stafford Cross, quickening well here on the run in after a patient Darren Andrews ride to beat odds-on favourite Southfield Scope Gordon Treacy was saddling his second winner of the season and his partner Amie explained, “It is our first season training at the Rathkenny Stud at Bondleigh near North Tawton and our second winner We bought Holkham Hall from Paul Henderson and he likes soft going.”
There was a blanket finish to the Young Horse Maiden which saw Martin McIntyre’s mount Fortune and Favour storming up the run in to collar See You Kauto and King Roque, with newcomer Atlantic Lad close up in fourth. A lengthy stewards’ enquiry concluded that any interference between the main protagonists was accidental, much to the relief of owners Edward and Sue Darke. The Soldier of Fortune five-year-old Fortune and Favour was sourced from Sean Doyle in Ireland by the Frosts and is stabled with Nikki Frost.
Important Notice also originated from Sean Doyle’s Wexford academy of young point-to-pointers. With Josh Newman in the saddle the pair made up for their Axe Vale lapse with a convincing victory over Summer Jam (Will Biddick) in the Restricted. The champion jockey must have become fed up with finishing second as six of his nine weekend mounts had occupied the runner up berth. Six-year-old Important Notice runs in the colours of Tom and Sally Dalley and is trained by Josh Newman at Woolminstone His future probably lies under rules.
Newman is in a strong position at the moment to secure the National trainers’ award for 15 or more horses, whilst Dean Summersby is making a late bid in the 6 to 14 horse category These are just two of the National Championships heading to an exciting climax, but for reasons best known to themselves the Point- to- Point Authority (PPA) has decided for all intents and purposes to cut off this season on Spring Bank Holiday Monday (May 27th).
This means that results that count towards all the National titles this year will also finish on that day. Whatever happens, pointing enthusiasts can still look forward to three fixtures in the West Country due to take place after the Upcott Cross meeting on Spring Bank Holiday Monday. These are at Trebudannon (evening of May 31st ); Bratton Down (June 2nd); and the traditional end of season meeting at Umberleigh (June 8th). All these meetings will count towards this year’s Devon & Cornwall Area championships.
