Shining Light…

Myles Phillip Riley

M

yles Phillip Riley is the 17-year-old son of C. Phillip Riley and LaTonya Riley. He is also an exceptional student at Brandon High School, Brandon, FL there he is going full speed to be the best. Currently he is a senior and is on task of being a 2017 graduate. During his junior year, Myles earned the Principal Honor Roll for four consecutive nine weeks and is proudly boasting a weighted GPA of 4.3 and an un-weighted GPA of 3.5. This accomplishment accompanied with being an above average student since the first grade, has allowed him to become a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. In addition to being an academically exceptional high school student, Myles is also an exceptional four-year member of his high school’s varsity football team. His skilled positions are running back and outside linebacker. His hard work on the felid and dedication to his team, has drawn the attention of D1, D2 and others college recruiters. Myles is not only interested in advancing to the next level in football with the possibilities of establishing a career as a professional player, he also has a love for animals and a desire to become a Veterinarian. During his 2016 summer vacation, Myles plans to visit Knoxville, Tennessee to be a part of a veterinarian mentorship program and serving as a volunteer at local pet stores and a veterinarian hospital in the Tampa Bay area.

Having a spiritual upbringing with a solid foundation, Myles is a member of New Mt. Zion M.B. Church, Lakeland, FL under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Kendrix Gardner, Sr. There he serves as one of the assistant drummer.

Myles is also a lover of music and he plays several instruments. Myles loves to sing, play the drums, guitar and most of all, the violin. Myles was 1st Chair, Master Musician for his entire middle school year, and now, he holds 5th chair, 1st violin in a National League ranked High School Orchestra.

Myles hobbies are playing basketball, soccer, baseball, and fishing, playing video games, talking on the phone, going to the movies and socializing with his friends.

Myles is a very talented and gifted young man. His future is bright and promising and he holds his favorite scripture “Psalms 23” in his heart and inserts his name in the passage as he strives to reach his goals. “ The Lord is Myles’ shepherd; and Myles shall not want. The Lord maketh Myles to lie down in green pastures: the Lord leadeth Myles beside the still waters. The Lord restoreth Myles soul: the Lord leadeth Myles in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though Myles walk through the valley of the shadow of death, Myles will fear no evail: for thou (Lord) art with Myles; thy (the Lord’s) rod and thy staff they comfort Myles. The Lord prepares a table before Myles in the presence of Myles’ enemies; The Lord anointest my head (Myles) with oil; Myles’ cup runneth over. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow Myles all the days of Myles life; and Myles will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Myles states he cannot reach his goals by himself and he is grateful for the support of his loving family and dearest friends; and they look forward to the next Dr. Myles P. Riley.

Fellowship God is faithful, by whom you were called on to the fellowship of his son Jesus Christ Our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:19

Independence Is: The state or quality of being independent. Freedom from the control, influence, support, aid, or the like, of others.

Fellowship is a physical and spiritual mutual sharing between believers who have common faith in Jesus Christ and the characteristics of true friends in the love of God.

God promise Divine Fellowship there for Saints of God should live together in unity making peace within their hearts with one another giving thanks to God for fellowship of promise.

Scriptures for Independence: 1 Peter 2:16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God's slaves. NIV 1 Corinthians 9:19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. KJ Galatians 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. KJ

Fellowship in worship is by accepting one another, love others as brethren, love in truth, honor those that are weak in the faith, share the word of God, pray for one another, and singing together songs of what a fellowship what a joy divine leaning on the everlasting arms of the Lord and greet one another. Romans 16:16… “Salute one another with a holy kiss.”

Fellowship is the greatest when Saints are centered in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 1 Samuel 20:42 “The Lord be between me and thee and between my seed and that's it forever.”

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Therefore, fellowshipping together with one another, truly God is with the faithful ones and he has kept his word with Divine Fellowship as he has promised.

Paul: I want to record some of my music, how do I find a good studio?

Debra: Finding a good studio at a reasonable price can be difficult depending on where you live. There are a lot of home based studios that you can use who are able to produce a good solid project. However, it depends on what you plan to do with the finished product what quality you will need. You don’t have to pay a million dollars to get a good recording, but the skill of the engineer operating the equipment is important. Always ask for references and names of others who have done recordings at that studio before making a decision.

It's just smart to take good care of your skin The need to protect your skin from the sun has become very clear over the years, supported by several studies linking overexposure to the sun with skin cancer. The harmful ultraviolet rays from both the sun and indoor tanning “sunlamps” can cause many other complications besides skin cancer - such as eye problems, a weakened immune system, age spots, wrinkles, and leathery skin.

Stay Healthy Sweet and Spicy Grilled Salmon Prep Total 35 min Serves 4

What You'll Need 2 tablespoons hot sauce, such as Frank's | 1 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar 1 teaspoon smoked paprika | 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise | 1 tablespoon snipped chives 8 stalks celery, very thinly sliced in half moons on an angle Four 5-ounce center-cut skin-on salmon fillets, about 1 inch thick Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper | 1/2 small red onion, sliced Vegetable oil, for oiling the grill How to Make It

 Preheat an outdoor grill or grill pan on medium high.  Mix together the hot sauce, brown sugar, paprika and cayenne in a





small bowl. Transfer 1 tablespoon of the mixture to a large bowl and whisk in the mayonnaise; set aside the rest of the sauce. Add the chives, celery and onions to the bowl with the mayonnaise and toss well.

Sprinkle the salmon with salt and pepper. Brush the grill grate lightly with oil. Lay the salmon on the grill, skin-side up, and cook until distinct grill marks appear and the salmon releases easily from the grate, 2 to 3 minutes. Turn and brush the fish with some of the reserved sauce. Continue to cook the fish, brushing the pieces periodically with the sauce, until the salmon fillets are glazed and just cooked through, 13 to 15 minutes more.

Transfer the fillets to individual plates and serve with the celery slaw.
