We strive to ensure all programs are led by caring leaders who place an emphasis on helping all our participants to; make new friends, feel stimulated through play, build confidence through learning new skills, and feel like a part of the team through active participation.

The goal of the City of Barrie Recreation Programs is to ensure all participants have a rewarding, memorable, safe and fun experience while participating in our programs.

Providing a safe environment is a collaborative process. We ask that parents/guardians share the following camp rules/guidelines with their child/ren: • Respect others and their property • Hands off

If the above guidelines cannot be met, our Fair Play Follow Up process will be implemented.

This camp will provide adults with an opportunity to learn life skills that will pave the way to independence. In a dynamic and supported environment, individuals will develop practical and hands on skills to support daily living. Individualized needs are accommodated through a variety of activities that will enhance participation and build friendships with peers.

INCLUSION 1:1 SUPPORT - CAMP

A 1:1 support staff is available at any camp to facilitate participation in camp activities, provide redirection for safety reasons, and allow opportunities for breaks (sensory, emotional, etc). Assistance with personal care is available provided it can be facilitated by one person. If registering into Inclusion 1:1 Support, please ensure the participant is also registered into a corresponding camp program.
