Honor an individual or organization through a memorial or honor gift at a Gloucester County Park The Legacy Donation Program is an effort to increase the number of trees, benches, and other items to enhance the visitor experience in parks Memorial and honor gifts are a thoughtful way to celebrate any occasion and can also function as an expression of sympathy or remembrance
Parks, Recreation & Tourism (PRT) is often asked for opportunities to memorialize or honor an individual or organization
The Legacy Donation Program has an identified list of items that may be sponsored for this purpose Additional opportunities may be available
Tree - $500
Brick - $70
Engraved bricks are available for memorials and at Woodville Park only The donor may provide text up to 3 lines, 18 characters each PRT staff will order bricks when a minimum quantity has been reached (typically 5) but may order sooner or later depending on availability and cost PRT staff will place bricks in identified sidewalk at Woodville Park
PRT staff will plant a tree approximately 10-12’ tall and install a plaque on a stake next to the tree on an agreed upon date by the donor and staff Tree options may vary The donor will be provided tree options, but final selection is at the discretion of PRT staff
Bench - $800 Metal Bench with Back
PRT staff will install a 4’ bench made of high-quality, expanded metal, with 2” metal frame A plaque will be mounted on the bench (up to 3 lines, character limitations apply) Bench color will be green with a black frame, to maintain uniformity within the parks

Picnic Table - $1,200 Metal Picnic Table - 6' Rectangle PRT staff will install a 6’ picnic table made of high-quality, expanded metal, with 2” metal frame. A plaque will be mounted on the table (up to 3 lines, character limitations apply). Bench color will be green with a black frame, to maintain uniformity within the parks.

Every effort will be made to accommodate requests for specific location or placement with a park Final placement will be determined by PRT staff based on sound management of the grounds. Legacy items will be maintained as part of normal operations Parks, Recreation & Tourism will not be responsible for replacing any items at the end of its useful life, due to natural disasters or vandalism.
