The story of Dr. Nairouz’s beginnings – how did she get started?

Dr. Nairouz’s journey, shaped initially by a healthcare background, led her to embrace servant leadership and a purpose-driven life in executive search. Merging pharmacy expertise with strategic thinking, she transitioned to leadership advisory, refining her skills through mentorship and continuous learning.

“I fell in love with leadership while pursuing my post-graduate studies. Guided by a passion for empowering others and creating an impact, I followed my career in executive search, serving our clients as a strategic advisor and enabler of strategy implementation from a leadership agenda,” says Dr. Nairouz.

She started her executive search and leadership practice in New York a couple of decades ago, then in Canada and Europe, and moved to Dubai, heading Envision Partnership MENA. Motivating factors to embark on the entrepreneurial journey Dr. Nairouz’s educational background and skills as a

Anastasia has over 14 years of marketing expertise, with a background in communication and strategic brand consulting. She represents a typical millennial whose perspective has been molded by the compelling ideals of globalization, enabled by the spread of connectivity and new technologies. She is extending the wings of her company to different continents.

Learning Journey of Anastasia Anastasia was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, but has spent the last 11 years living and working in Dubai, UAE. Anastasia’s academic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in international communications from Taras Shevchenko University, a top-rated academic institution in Ukraine. Further, she recently completed an Executive MBA program at Hult International Business School. Anastasia takes great pride in achieving distinctions for outstanding performance in her Bachelor’s and MBA studies.

“Every marketing strategy commences with data analysis.

My Bachelor’s degree in “International Communication” equipped me with the skills necessary for research and analytics. This education taught me how to handle extensive volumes of data and generate insights that can be applied to strategic decision-making processes at a senior level,” says Anastasia.

Having an advanced career, Anastasia recognized the importance of broadening her knowledge of strategic management. This realization prompted her to pursue an Executive MBA, enabling her to adopt a more comprehensive approach to business.

How Anastasia Started Her Career?

“Moving from the familiar comforts of my hometown, Kyiv, where I was surrounded by friends and family, to Dubai, where I had no support system, was one of the pivotal choices in my life and career,” says Anastasia.

Anastasia’s career began in marketing agencies, where she gained practical experience in the B2B, B2C, and B2G sectors. Later, Anastasia transitioned to in-house marketing roles, working in oil and gas, aviation, and satellite telecommunications for the past six years.

“My career is characterized by a commitment to practical experience enriched by continuous learning. In my view, success is not a particular state but rather an ongoing

journey driven by curiosity, ambition, and a relentless pursuit of growth. Those who embrace learning and experimentation are the ones who can maintain a competitive edge in today’s dynamic landscape,” says Anastasia. “I had to begin “from square one” in a different country. I’m immensely proud of my journey, which took me from being an Operational Coordinator at a local events agency to becoming the Vice President of Marketing and communications at a global organization,” she continued.

Success Mantra “Honestly, I am not a big fan of the conventional “work-life balance” model. I am more inclined to the “work hard - play hard” formula. My job is my passion. I give it my best first, and later, I celebrate big or small victories. It is a more conscious and gratifying approach to me,” asserts Anastasia.

“Picture yourself immersed in a game where bonuses keep pouring in, regardless of your progress. You’d eventually lose interest. Same with life, I continuously set new targets for myself and ensure a small prize for each milestone,” she continues.

Prakriti’s Grandma’s inspiration and her Motivation Prakriti was born in India but raised worldwide. While she kept changing countries, homes, and schools, her grandmother in India was one constant in her younger life. Prakriti’s grandma was a prolific healer and soothsayer who taught her faith and healing before she learned to read. In contrast, she didn’t realize the value of those lessons in her childhood. Prakriti found her way back to them when she began working in the mental health field in 2000.

Prakriti’s career choice: how did she arrive at it?

Prakriti comes from a banker’s family, but she chose to work in the health and wellness field because, from an early age, she was raised to be of service and was moved by the understanding that she could help people.

“My grandma would say the St. Francis of Assisi peace prayer every night. I knew I needed to make mental health awareness more accessible — and this shaped my life’s path. I knew that mental health was a huge problem people were not addressing, so I deepened my understanding of psychology and spirituality and learned various healing practices. Mental health and wellbeing aren’t just my passion but the purpose that drives me daily,” says Prakriti.

Prakriti credits her early experiences in boarding school with teaching her the value of routines and allowing her to meet different people worldwide. “I’m a huge people person, and boarding school helped me become adaptable, accepting, and non-judgmental,” says Prakriti.

Later, she studied economics at York University, neurofeedback at the EEG Institute in California, transpersonal regression therapy and mental health counseling at the Tasso Institute in the Netherlands, and clinical hypnotherapy at the California Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Prakriti is also an ANLP-trained neurolinguistic programmer.

“My education equipped me with the skills of an entrepreneur, but it was my training in mental counseling and diverse therapeutic approaches that empowered me to make a significant impact on individuals facing mental health challenges. What’s her story?

In the “Maximum City” of Mumbai, or “Bombay,” as she grew up referring to it, Preeta was reared in a large, lively community of relatives, friends, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

“I am a female founder of color running an independent media company in a country far away from my family, so my entrepreneurial journey is laced with unique struggles not many can relate to. We’ve never had investors and have grown organically from day one,” ensures Preeta.

When everything stopped due to the pandemic, they were forced to immediately scale back and adapt to a new normal, like many other businesses. So they started again, used what they had, did what they could, and still made pretty hefty strides. “Like most other small businesses, our revenues were significantly impacted as well, so yet again, we used this principle and worked towards creating a new revenue stream by turning our extensive recipe resources into physical cookbooks,” says Preeta.
