In 1945 purchased G & M Tubing, Granby, QC. In 1952 it expanded manufacturing tubing in Brantford and in 1961 purchased Industrial Steel & Fibre, Terrebonne, QC. The Terrebonne paper mill was completed in 1963 and a new plant built in Scarborough, ON. In 1965 a new building was added in Brantford, and a plant opened in Vancouver to manufacture spiral tubes. In 1969, size of the building in Scarborough was doubled. A second board mill was completed at Brantford, July 1973. New plants were opened in Moncton, NB in 1977 and in Kingston, ON in 1981. In 1983 purchased Federal Packaging and Partitions Co., Ajax, ON. In 1986 opened new plant Quebec City and Nanaimo, BC. 1988 new plant in Thunder Bay, ON and 1989 Edmonton AB. In 1990 a new plant was opened in Chicoutimi, QC. In 1991 a new partitions plant was opened in Laval, QC. Also in 1991, Newfont Corporation was acquired, including Alberta Paper Cores Limited in Whitecourt, AB, Baywood Paper Limited in Barrie, ON and Newfont Limited in Stephenville, NF.
