Students will learn how to effectively use various tools for creating an effective social media marketing campaign. Students will understand different audiences for research and the importance of sources other than the . An overarching goal is to obtain a clear perspective with the process of digital PR and marketing so students can begin to appreciate its true value to consumers, to managers, and to other corporate stakeholders. Students will be equipped with the relevant knowledge, perspectives, and practical skills required to develop marketing strategies that leverage the opportunities inherent in social media and consumer-to-consumer social interactions for achieving business goals. Course Outcomes: By the end of the workshop students will be able to: ● Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of social media for business use ● Develop skills in using the predominant social media tools currently available for business/marketing communication ● Develop vocabulary related to business and social media ● Develop and Implement a social media plan Methods of Instruction: A variety of instructional techniques will be used in this course including lectures, discussions, and activities. The instructor will lead discussions of course theory and may include other assigned readings, case studies, team exercises, and group or individual projects.
