Joanie Haggerty has been helping people buy and sell real estate in the Roaring Fork Valley for 30 years. With 500 homes sold during that period, two things are sure: Joanie Haggerty knows real estate, and her familiarity with the people and communities is second to none.
Prior to this well-honed career, Joanie trail-blazed the Aspen skiing industry as one of the first women (of 30+ men) to join the Aspen Mountain Ski Patrol where she still loves to ski. In 1985, she purchased a home in Basalt and has found that living halfway between Aspen and Glenwood Springs is the perfect location to enjoy all the sports and activities in the Roaring Fork Valley.

One of Aspen’s local ambassadors, Scott Wirkler is every man’s realtor. Prior to joining Engel & Völkers, he and his wife Sandy moved to the Aspen area in 1984 to assist in the opening of the Aspen McDonald’s franchise and subsequently owned the In and Out House in 1987, later known as Scotties, with locations in Aspen, Glenwood Springs, and Basalt.
After selling the business, establishing a notable reputation as one of the backbones of the wider community, Scott renewed the real estate license he acquired at age 18 and now brings his business talents and a certain wisdom in social graces to service his clients interested in buying, selling, renting or managing their investment properties.
Much to the delight of people living in the valley, Scott and Sandy continue to live in and serve their Blue Lake neighborhood going on 32-plus years. They have volunteered countless hours serving on the Blue Lake Board, as well as coaching everything from baseball to wrestling.
