Concept & Rationale • Reviving Northern Soul into Today’s Modern Culture • Called the project/concept ‘Modern Soul’ • Shown progression of music • We chose this as a concept as it is where our heritage is as teenagers, even though this scene has changed drastically, this is where it originated from • Shown the cyclical structure of the fashion industry – trend of the 60’s has come back into fashion today

Photography & Styling Outcome • Within our film and photography we wanted to incorporate the mannerisms of the Northern Soul Culture, so we got our models to look moody but also happy and enjoying dancing.

• For styling we used, shell suits, denim and bomber jackets all 1960s and 1970s fashion statements.

• The 4 items that represent Northern Soul that we used are the top, jacket, beer and cigarettes – very big in the culture.
