PASTOR ENO JERRY
Authentic and refreshingly raw, Pastor Eno Jerry has become an unmistakably familiar face the world over. Resident pastor of Streams of Joy International Church, convener of the Pastor’s Wives and Women in Ministry conference, and author of the book, How I almost ruined my marriage, Pastor Eno is undeniably a multifaceted woman. In our exclusive interview with her, Pastor Eno gave us a further glimpse into the person beyond the face we see on our screens and how mistakes, motherhood, marriage and ministry have shaped her into the woman we have all grown to know and love.

PERSONAL LIFE
We are so glad to have you feature alongside your husband as our cover personalities, Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
I am also delighted to be doing this with my husband. I am a young girl that loves Jesus. I have grown to treasure my work with God. I am very simple; I love to make those around me happy and I love smiling.
What is a typical work day for you?
Very busy. My day starts with NSPPD, then to work, counselling, to my home and children.
Can you recommend some books you have read or movies you have watched?
Well, I recommend my books- I Almost Ruined My Marriage because it is my true-life story and The Proverbs 31 Woman in Contemporary Times (smiling). I really don’t watch movies not because there’s anything wrong with it. I just don’t have the time for them.
How do you unwind?
Hhhhmmmm this is an interesting question. I unwind by playing with my children.
What is your favorite food?
I don’t have a favourite food.
MARRIAGE
What are the best qualities you like about your husband and why?
He is a kind and good man. He loves God’s people passionately. He has a good heart. He is very disciplined, has maintained a consistent walk with God in the 19 years of our relationship. He loves to celebrate people. He loves having high fliers around him and he pushes anyone including me to be more and to do more. He is very generous and he takes very good care of me and our children.
Can you share your story about how ministry has affected your relationship with your husband?
Ministry has affected our relationship positively. And this is interesting because it wasn’t always like this. When we got married initially, it had a negative impact because I felt he was too busy working for God (smiles). I couldn’t understand how a man will give God so much of his time and I felt I needed more attention from him. However, as the years went by and I started growing in my walk with God, I understood how one could be so sold out to God. For us, Ministry has brought us closer. We share this in common and it has strengthened our communication and relationship.

How do you and Pastor relax?
Well, I don’t yet have an answer to this question. Maybe when we start to relax, I will know what to say (smiles).
What informed your decision to write your book,” I almost ruined my marriage”?
God placed the burden in my heart. He said there was an urgency in the spirit to save marriages and relationships. So, I got an approval from God and also my husband confirmed it.
