The Story of Junior Breece

"A song unfinished, a story cut short, yet every note and every chapter he gave us will live on in our hearts."

Ulysseus DiShaft Breece Jr., lovingly known as “Junior,” departed this life on September 15, 2025. He was born on July 8, 2007, to Ulysseus Breece Sr. and Tasciana Lundy.

Junior spent his early years in Chesapeake, Virginia, before relocating with his family to Grafton, Virginia. He was a student at Grafton and Western Branch High Schools, where he excelled not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities such as athletics, photography, and yearbook.

A gifted and determined athlete, Junior made his mark in several sports. He proudly brought home a State Championship in wrestling. In Track and Field, he competed with passion, placing second in the 4x400 relay, as well as in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash, where he also placed second at the regional meet. On the football field, wearing jersey number 7—the number right next to his brother’s—he contributed his talents on both offense and defense.

Like many young people, Junior loved video games, and the PlayStation 4 was his favorite console. But to those who played against him, he was more than a casual gamer—he was a beast. Whether competing in Fortnite, Minecraft, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, or Roblox, he brought the same energy and competitive spirit to the gaming world as he did to the playing field. When not gaming or involved in school activities, he loved dancing, listening to music and enjoyed creating his own YouTube and TikTok videos, showcasing his creativity and sense of humor. His life’s dream was to be like his ucle Ton and join the United States Marine Corps.

To know Junior was truly to love him. He had a smile that could light up any room, hugs that wrapped you in warmth, and a spirit that radiated joy, light, and laughter to everyone he encountered.

He was reared in a community of faith, guided by strong moral principles, and taught to love and treat others the way he himself wished to be treated.

Junior leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted parents, Ulysseus Breece Sr. and Tasciana Lundy; his loving brothers, Jasaia Lundy-Breece and Keyshaun Breece; his grandparents, Antonio Lundy, Iris Lundy, Paula Breece, and Greg Hinton; his great-grandparents, Allen Lundy, Selena Lundy, Nancy Breece, Bobbi Clemmons, and Paul Breece; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, classmates, teachers, and all who were blessed to know him.

Though his time with us was far too short, Junior’s love, light, and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
