TaíShay Shereé Hawk was born on June 25, 1991, in Burlington, New Jersey, to Barbara Bell Hawk and Gregory Charles Hawk. As part of a military family, she lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, for three years; Heidelberg, Germany, for three years; and Georgia for three years before settling inVirginia.
At a young age, “Shay Shay”, as she was affectionately nicknamed by her family, loved the Backstreet Boys, Salt N’ Peppa, and playfully proclaimed she would marry Usher Raymond untilshe figured out, “Usherwas old!”
TaíShay was a member of the National Beta Honor Society in her formative years. She graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News, VA, in 2009. Following high school, TaíShay attended Saint Paul College in Lawrenceville, VA. Shay loved spending her leisure time writing, reading, and drawing. She also enjoyed language arts and history. One of the family's fond memories was when she wrote a letter to her favorite Aunt Stephanie and began, “Dear Aunt StepForKnee,” showing how seriously she took pronunciation and language. TaíShay always expressed her desire to become a nurse and had planned to enrollin nursing schoolnextyear.

As a former competitive cheerleader, Shay invested time in staying physicallyfit, yet she stillloved seafood and a good steak. When it came to her music, you could always find Shay listening to R&B, Hip Hop, and even Alternative Rock, music that would often blast through her car speakers and annoy her mom. More importantly, you could always count on seeing her big smile. Her Mom lovinglycalled it her“Clown Smile.”

TaíShay is preceded in death by her Grandmother, Elnora Bell; Uncle Charles (Kendra Bell); Nephew, Lamonee ChisholmJohnson; and Aunt, Ella Deloris Bell.

Dear Family and Friends, I want you to know that I have moved. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM God, the chief architect, who informed me that I could move in immediately. You know that I have been sending my timber, and only the chief carpenter Jesus Christ could do. Some were a little broad, or not long enough. Well, my new home is finished and it is such a beautiful sight to behold! It is located in an exclusive estate area, and it sits behind beautiful pearly gates just off a serene celestial shore. Of course the streets are paved with gold and every day is Sunday here, I have been told. I've lived many places before my new home was prepared and none of the others compare. There is peace, joy, and happiness here with no pain to bear, no strife or discontent. There is only sweet serenity everywhere and I could go on and on about my new home, but I have to get fitted for my wings.
My New Address Is: TaíShay Shereé Hawk Psalm 119 Jesus Way God's Town, Heaven 12620
Love You All,
P. S. I don't have a phone yet, just call God. If you don't have the number, He is listed in the Holy Book on every page.
