WORDSFROMOURJURY

Welcome to Japan and Congratulations to All Finalists!

First, let me warmly welcome you to my beautiful country! I hope you enjoy your time here and create unforgettable memories during this competition.

When I was 15, I participated in my first English speech contest I was very nervous, but I loved sharing my story with the audience Seeing their faces light up and feeling the connection inspired me deeply That experience sparked my passion for public speaking, and after many years of twists and turns, I’m now a professional MC for international events and a public speaking coach.

In this age of AI, I believe speech communication is one of the most valuable skills we can develop While technology advances, our ability to connect with people emotionally through our presence, voice, and words remains uniquely human A great speech doesn’t just inform it inspires, moves, and builds relationships

To help you shine on stage, here are a few tips from me:

Focus on Breathing: Deep breaths calm your nerves, keep you grounded, and help you project your voice clearly

Practice and Watch Yourself: Film your practice sessions and observe yourself as the audience would This helps you refine your delivery

Remember, It’s Not About You Focus on connecting with your audience You’re there to inform, educate, and inspire Shifting the focus away from yourself helps you feel more at ease

This competition is just the beginning Keep learning, growing, and believing in the power of your voice Your dreams and ideas can make a real difference in the world Good luck, and see you on stage!
