I was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, and grew up in Eagle Pass, Texas.

I'm proud to say I graduated with a degree in Architecture from Texas Tech Huckabee College. Now, I'm taking on the challenge of doing my Master's in Architecture at the University of Houston. These achievements mean a

lot to me—they show my commitment to learning and designing. My Mexican roots and Texas upbringing shape the way I create spaces, making them both useful and culturally meaningful. I'm on a mission to bring fresh ideas to architecture, making spaces that look great and feel like home.

Stroke Rehab Center

Earthen Harmoney which is based in Lubbock, Texas, where rammed earth construction plays a dual role in enhancing the patient experience and extending a gesture of inclusivity to those unable to enter. The use of rammed earth surfaces throughout the facility creates a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for patients, offering textured elements that encourage tactile exploration and sensory engagement, fostering a sense of comfort and familiarity.

By incorporating rammed earth construction, the design not only prioritizes the well-being and rehabilitation of patients but also extends a gesture of warmth and inclusion to the broader community, reinforcing our commitment to creating environments that promote healing and connectivity for all.

MARFA CABINS

Student cabins designed for Texas Tech University set amidst the captivating landscape of Marfa, Texas. Inspired by the rugged beauty of the region and its vibrant artistic community, our design seamlessly integrates kinetic movement and modular flexibility. This project redefines student housing by offering functional, adaptable spaces that enrich the academic and social experiences of its inhabitants, embodying our ethos of creating environments that inspire and empower.

Each cabin is comprised of semi-private and private spaces, fostering community interaction while maintaining individual retreats.The cabins’ kinetic elements allow for dynamic adjustments, enhancing connectivity with the surroundings and promoting a sense of freedom.

Our commitment to sustainability and contextual sensitivity is evident throughout, creating a harmonious blend of modern design and natural charm.

FLOOD MUSEUM

Transcendence Place is based in downtown Houston, redefining conventional boundaries and inviting visitors to explore the intersection of architecture and environment. Embracing the city’s floodprone context, the museum embodies verticality and sight lines, offering an immersive experience that transcends the literal. Through intentional abstraction, the museum weaves together soundscapes, flood pathways, and panoramic views into a dynamic architectural narrative. Elevated galleries on higher floors serve as metaphoric ascents, encouraging visitors to transcend the ordinary and immerse themselves in a heightened aesthetic experience.

Deliberate consideration of sight lines enriches the visual journey, while graceful arches symbolize a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor realms. This intentional departure from convention fosters a fluid transition, blurring the distinctions between space and inviting individuals to elevate their perceptions within an abstract exploration of Houston’s flood heritage.

Working independently has allowed me to deeply engage with each aspect of the design process, from conceptualization to execution, fostering a deeper connection to my work and a more nuanced understanding of architectural principles. Engaging with cultural, social, and environmental contexts has broadened my perspective on the role of architecture in society, guiding me towards creating spaces that resonate with people on a profound level.
