Miles de romeros acudieron a Tuineje para rendir honor a San Miguel FMHOY - Fuerteventura Miles de personas se dieron cita, el pasado mes, en Tuineje para participar en la Romería Ofrenda en honor a San Miguel Arcángel, y rendir homenaje al Patrón del pueblo, a quien se encomendaron, en el año 1740, los vecinos del Municipio para enfrentarse y derrotar a los corsarios ingleses. Junto al párroco del Municipio, Vito Ondó, estuvieron presentes el Alcalde de Tuineje, Salvador Delgado, así como el resto de la Corporación, quienes participaron, junto con el resto de carretas procedentes de varios puntos de la Isla, en la ofrenda de productos de la tierra al Santo.
Thousands of pilgrims gather in Tuineje in honour of San Miguel FMHOY - Fuerteventura Thousands of people gathered last month in Tuineje to participate to the Pilgrimage in honour of San Miguel Arcángel (Saint Michael the Archangel) and show their respect to the patron of the village, who the neighbours of the Municipality entrusted in 1740 when they had to face and defeat the English pirates. Together with the Municipality’s priest, Vito Ondó, the Mayor of Tuineje, Salvador Delgado, was also present, as well as the rest of the Corporation, who participated with others from other locations of the island by presenting the Saint with offerings of products from the earth.
