Das I. Treffen für Fischen vom Kajak aus war ein großer Erfolg FMHOY - Fuerteventura Im Oktober 2014 fand das “I. Treffen für Fischfang vom Kajak aus“ im Rahmen des Programms des Volksfestes zu Ehren der “Nuestra Señora del Pino“ in Puerto Lajas statt. Dieses Event wurde von dem Nachbarschaftsverein „El Pino” organisiert und von der Gemeinde Puerto del Rosario und vom Amt für Sport und Jagd des Cabildo von Fuerteventura sowie von verschiedenen Unternehmen des Archipels unterstützt. Der Sportclub Fuertekayak war für die Koordination des Treffens zuständig, zu dem vierzig Teilnehmer aus verschiedenen Regionen von Fuerteventura, Lanzarote und Gran Canaria kamen. Am Samstagmorgen um 8 Uhr fuhr die bunte Gruppe von Booten los, die zusammen am Ufer gewartet hatten. Die Meeresbedingungen waren für diesen Sport optimal. Nach einem traumhaften Vormittag begannen die Teilnehmer in der Mittagszeit an den Strand zurückzukehren. Dort erwartete sie ein interessiertes Publikum. Bei Gesprächen und Anekdoten stärkten sie sich mit einer hervorragenden Paella. Zum Schluss fanden die Verlosung und die Preisübergabe statt. Den ersten Preis bekam der Fischer aus Tuineje, Miguel, für seinen 3,5 Kilo schweren Jurel. Er lag damit vor dem Pfeilhecht von de Javier (2,7 Kilo) und vor der Rotbandbrasse von Toni (2,6 kg). In Wirklichkeit haben alle Teilnehmer gewonnen. Sie konnten mit alten und neuen Gefährten losziehen und die Leidenschaft für die Kajakfischerei teilen.
Successful First Encounter of Kayak Fishing FMHOY - Fuerteventura The First Encounter of “Kayak Fishing on the Island of Fuerteventura 2014” took place in October during the programme of festivities organised in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pino in the village of Puerto Lajas. The event organised by the Neighbours’ Association “El Pino” benefited from the support of the Ayuntamiento of Puerto del Rosario and of the Sports and Hunting Council of Fuerteventura’s Cabildo, as well as the collaboration from various businesses of the archipelago. Fuertekayak Sports’ Club was in charge of organising the encounter where forty participants from various locations in Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria gathered. At 8 am on that Saturday morning the colourful group of kayaks that had been waiting on the shore for optimal
sea conditions for the practise of this sport, took off. After a splendid morning, already at midday, participants started coming back towards the beach where the public was waiting. Between the social gathering and the anecdotes, they got their strength back with a succulent paella. Finally it was time for the prize draw and the awards’ presentation. The first prize went to the fisherman from Tuineje, Miguel with his horse mackerel of 3.5 kilos that was followed by Javier’s barracuda of 2.7 kilos and Toni’s sama of 2.6 kilos. All in all, all members of the assistance were the winners of a day where they enjoyed and shared with old and new fellow lovers of this exciting world of kayak fishing.
