j George-Henri, à l’inverse de son petit frère, commence par marcher dans les pas de son père en se consacrant pleinement à la compétition de ski, pour laquelle il abandonne très tôt ses études. Après six ans sur le circuit FIS, il reprend finalement le chemin de l’école. Energique et efficace, il obtient une licence de l’école de commerce du Bourget du Lac (Savoie) puis devient gérant du magasin familial en 2007.
accessoirement, l’ainé des deux frères. Avec un papa champion de ski, on aurait pu croire son avenir tout tracé dans le ski mais c’était sans compter son esprit de contradiction ! Après des débuts prometteurs dans la restauration où durant six ans il passera par tous les postes, c’est dans la musique, sa seconde passion, et surtout la technique son, qu’il va s’exprimer. Il apprend sur le tas et de manière empirique, puis devient ensuite lui-même ingénieur son et monte quelques années plus tard son propre studio d’enregistrement avec deux amis, Revolver Studio. Lorsqu’il est contacté pour la Folie Douce de Meribel, il est séduit par le concept. La perspective de revenir exercer son métier sur sa terre natale et dans le secteur de la restauration achève de le convaincre. Là c’est du live, du vrai !
j John Mauduit (nickname “Nijo”) is the free spirit of the Mauduit clan and also
the elder of the two brothers. With a ski champion for a father, you might think that a future in skiing was all laid out for him, but that would be forgetting his rebellious side! After a promising start in the restaurant industry where, over a six year period, he worked in every job, he turned to music, his second passion, and especially to sound technique, to express himself. He learned mainly through observation on the job and then became a sound engineer himself. A few years later, he started his own recording studio, Revolver Studio, with a couple of friends,. When he was contacted by the Meribel Folie Douce, he was seduced by the concept. The idea of coming back to work where he grew up and in the restaurant industry, was all that was needed to convince him. This is real live performance!

Par-delà leurs différences, les deux frères aiment se retrouver régulièrement au golf de Méribel. « John est un très bon joueur explique Georges-Henri, et j’ai toujours énormément de plaisir à partager ça avec lui ». Contrairement à l’adage, heureux qui comme George-Henri n’a pas fait un long voyage, ou comme celuilà a préféré rester dans ses alpages…
j George-Henri, unlike his younger brother, started by walking in his father’s footsteps, devoting himself fully to competition skiing and abandoning his studies very early. After six years on the FIS circuit, he ended up going back to school. Energetic and efficient, he qualified from the school of commerce in Bourget du Lac (Savoie) then became manager of the family shop in 2007. Notwithstanding their differences, the two brothers like to get together regularly for a round of golf in Meribel. “John plays very well”, explains Georges-Henri, “and I always really enjoy sharing that with him”. Contrary to the saying, happy is he who, like George-Henri, did not travel far, or, like him, decided to stay in the mountain pastures…
