KARATE

Karate offers physical fitness, self-confidence, and discipline.

Students will learn karate and self-defense in a fun, safe atmosphere! All Karate classes are held in Studio 4. All testing fees are included in class cost. Uniforms are an additional $25. More questions? See Sensei Amanda for more information.

KARATE-ADULT (BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE)

We welcome adult students of all rank levels – beginner through advanced! This class is designed to heighten physical fitness, self-confidence and discipline while introducing basic through advanced fundamentals of our style of martial arts and self-defense. This clinic is for beginners and those who want to work on their basic skills.

YMCA Co-ED Basketball League (Ages 3-4) Registration Ends Feb. 23 Practice/play format: players learn, develop and practice basic skills first, and then immediately afterward play and apply those skills in the second part of program during a game! TEEN SPORTS 3 on 3 Basketball League Junior Varsity Boys/ Girls Ages 13 - 15 // Varsity Boys/ Girls Ages 16 - 18 Registration Ends Feb. 23 | Games start Mar. 12 $30/ Youth Member and $60/ Non-Member Register as a team or as an individual free agent. Registration deadline is Feb. 24.

All Junior Varsity games held at SYLVANIA YMCA on Friday evenings. All Varsity games held at WEST YMCA Friday evenings.

You will receive a YMCA t-shirt. If choosing to register as a team, minimum 3 players required at registration, a max of 4 players is strongly recommended for teams. All individual free agent signs up will be placed on teams with other free agents.

Meet the team / team shoot around Friday, Mar. 5 week regular season, games in the evenings during the week (at least regular 2 games a week).

Single elimination tournament will be held week of Apr. 19th (all teams make tournament). Games monitored and officiated by Y staff.

ADULT BEGINNER PICKLEBALL CLASS 4 v. 4 ADULT VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE With adherence to the CDC and ReStart Ohio guidelines, learn the new paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Come develop the skills in an environment that emphasizes good sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperative play and a love of recreational sports. Use of own equipment strongly encouraged.

Active kids are BACK! Put down the video game & jump over For ages 7 and up. Intermediate tumbling. Skills include: power round the couch! G2N (Gymnastic to Ninja) challenges kids of all off, front and back walkovers, front and back handsprings. Tumbling ages using Jonathan Horton’s G2N’s system and curriculum to 1 skills MUST be mastered first. For ages 6 and up. be active, creative and skillful. You can call it warrior, parkour TUESDSAY or ninja...we call it fun!!! Co-ed.

PRE-TEAM

Gymnasts in Girls 5 and Girls 6 who are interested and ready for competitive gymnastics may try out for this training program. Pre-team gymnasts will focus heavily on USAG Level 3 competitive routines and skills. This class meets twice weekly and commitment to attendance is encouraged. Tryouts will be in June and December only, date and time will be posted. Realistic expectation would be for the gymnast to be ready for the annual June Gymcat tryouts.
