TODDLER GYMNASTICS (AGES 1–3) Members: $32 Non Member: $74

PUNKINS Movement education for “furniture walkers” through 23 months, with parent. Introductory gymnastics skills with emphasis on large motor skill development, balance, and coordination.

For safety reasons, younger siblings are required to be either in a carrier or stroller & older siblings must be able to entertain themselves in bleachers or on the foam letters by the mirrors for the entirety of the class. Parents may also drop-off siblings to KidZone at the Ft. Meigs YMCA main branch for the duration of Parent/Child class time.

SCOOTERS For ages 2-3, with parent. Experience a fun and playful atmosphere with your little ones as they explore and experience the world of movement. Introductory gymnastics skills with emphasis on large motor skill development, balance, and coordination. Structure is introduced as well as plenty of time for free exploration—how Scooters learn best!

For safety reasons, younger siblings are required to be either in a carrier or stroller & older siblings must be able to entertain themselves in bleachers or on the foam letters by the mirrors for the entirety of the class. TUMBLE & LEARN (AGES 3-5) TUMBLE & LEARN Tumble & Learn's enrichment program integrates numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and sequencing though movement in a gymnastics setting. Gymnastics training included every day! Ages 3-5yrs. Must be potty trained.

MITEY GYMNASTICS (AGES 3 - 5) Members:$34 Non Member: $78

MITEY 3’s

This is a 45 minute, parent aided, structured gymnastics class. Often, 3 year olds need special attention due to their size, fear, or adjusting to being on their own. This class is intended to bridge our Scooter class and our Mitey 4 class.

Mitey 3’s is designed much like our Mitey 4’s class with the parents aiding their child through specific gymnastic circuits and stations. This class is for 3 year olds who are ready for more structure and instruction. Young 4 year olds who are not quite ready for Mitey 4’s are also welcome.

This is a structured class with full parental participation. For safety reasons, younger siblings are required to be either in a carrier or stroller and older siblings must be able to entertain themselves in bleachers or on the foam letters by the mirrors during entirety of the Parent/Child class time. Parents may also drop-off siblings to KidZone at the Ft. Meigs YMCA main branch for the duration of Parent/Child class time.

MITEY 4’S / MITEY 5’S

Coed, Age specific to 4 year olds, without parent. Gymnastics equipment-based classes. Developmentally appropriate program promotes strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, focus and gross motor skills. Progressive gymnastics skills (beginner- intermediate) are introduced and developed as the gymnast’s skill level improves. Equipment includes all “big kid” Olympic events sized for “little kids”!

GIRLS 1-3 GIRLS 1: Beginning gymnastics skills. Introduction to all four events. For ages 6 and up.

GIRLS 2: Advanced beginner level. Successful completion of Girls 1 skills is required. For ages 6 and up.

GIRLS 3: Intermediate level. Continues to build on skills learned in Girls 2. Body position and form stressed. For ages 6 and up.

NINJA

Active kids are BACK! Put down the video game & jump over the couch! Ninja challenges kids of all ages using Jonathan Horton’s G2N (gymnast to ninja)’s system and curriculum to be active, creative and skillful. You can call it warrior, parkour or ninja...we call it fun!!! Co-ed.

GIRLS 5: Advanced. Students progressing out of Girls 5 may move to Girls 6 or try out for Pre-team (June/Dec. only). For ages 6 and up.

A class concentrating on strength and skill development needed for bars. For ages 6 and up.

GIRLS PRE-TEAM

Gymnasts in Girls 5 and Girls 6 who are interested and ready for competitive gymnastics may try out for this training program. Pre-team gymnasts will focus heavily on USAG Level 3 competitive routines and skills. This class meets twice weekly and commitment to attendance is encouraged. Tryouts will be in June and December only, date and time will be posted. Realistic expectation would be for the gymnast to be ready for the annual June Gymcat tryouts.

COMPETITIVE TEAMS Y’S GUYS BOY’S GYMNASTICS TEAM

Y’s Guys compete USAG routines at USAG meets throughout Ohio and Michigan. Practice year round. USAG levels 4 -10.

TUMBLING 2

For ages 7 and up. Intermediate tumbling. Skills include: power round GYMCATS GIRL’S GYMNASTICS TEAM off, front and back walkovers, front and back handsprings. Tumbling GYMCATS compete in the Northwest Ohio YMCA District and USAG System—USAG routines are used. Levels 3-10. Call 1 skills MUST be mastered first. For ages 6 and up.

Advanced tumbling. Skills include: Connected tumbling series, multiple handsprings, front and back saltos, aerials. Tumbling 2 skills MUST be mastered first (MUST have a standing back handspring).
