ARTS & HUMANITIES CHEER DANCE (AGES 3-5)

An Introduction to basic cheerleading dance movements with Does your child have a flare for the dramatic? Our theater an emphasis on fun! Location: Studio program helps develop dramatic performance, creative movement, improvisation and more! Increase muscle tone, flexibility, endurance, coordination and speed. Create a feeling of focus in your daily life, increased self-esteem, respect for self and others, self discipline and learn self defense. Uniform is included in the cost of the class. Location: Flex Gym

Member: $47/ Program Participant: $94 Beginner level class. In this introduction to ballet, students will learn basic terminology and technique, balance, foot and Saturday 9:00-9:30am arm positions, barre work, across the floor skills, and leaps.

BALLET 2/ TAP 2 (AGES 6-12)

Learn steps, movements and routine combinations of Ballet and Tap. This class is intended for students who have previously taken ballet/tap dance and are ready for challenging choreography. Location: Studio

KARATE - WHITE BELT (AGES 6-9)

This beginner level class offers physical fitness, selfconfidence, and discipline. Students will learn karate and self -defense in a fun, safe atmosphere! End of Session testing package fee is not included, please see instructor for details.

HANDMADE HOLIDAYS (AGES 5-9)

PARENT’S NIGHT OUT Parents: you deserve a night out on the town after working hard all week while your kiddos are still full of energy! Come drop them off at the Y each month on a Friday night for 3 hours.

Bring them hungry and bored—when you pick them up, they’ll be full, excited, and be carrying take-a-way goodies as well!

Each month features a unique theme and we are fully staffed including volunteers from Whitewater Church in Waterville, Ohio. This fun, safe event always includes Inflatable Obstacle Course, pizza, snacks, a kid-friendly movie and other themed activities to keep everyone hopping.

YOUTH & TEEN SPORTS TEEN PROGRAMMING

Youth Members & YMCA Members ages 10-16 can participate in Teen Programming for FREE!

RUNNING CLUB (AGES 10-16) This club is for youth members ages 10-16 that want to learn the fundamentals of breathing, conditioning and flexibility techniques that are used in the sport of running.

Location: Weight Room & uses treadmills in the Wellness Center Tuesday

TEEN FITNESS CLUB (AGES 10-16)

YOUTH SPORTS PEE WEE SPORTS SAMPLER

This club is for youth members ages 10-16 that want to use the fitness center and improve their health. This club includes using weight room etiquette, learning proper lifting techniques, participating in basic weight training and cardio programs, and more.

Learn a different sport each day including soccer, basketball, Tuesday Thursday t-ball, floor hockey and more! Location: AW Y Flex Gym

KINDER KICKERS (AGE 3-5) This class is a fun environment that creates an opportunity for each child to learn about the game of soccer. Instructors will teach these kindergartners the basic skills of soccer such as dribbling, trapping, shooting, offense and defense.

YOUTH HOUSE DODGEBALL LEAGUE SESSION 6 SPORTS LEAGUES: October 21 - December 14 REGISTRATION: September 9 - October 7 HOUSE DODGEBALL LEAGUE (AGES 6-11) Anthony Wayne YMCA House Dodgeball League is for a co-ed program for ages 6-11. Players will play in their own team with ages balanced against another AW team. This program places a strong emphasis on fun, fair play, equal participation, and learning the fundamentals of dodgeball. Each player will receive a YMCA game shirt and a prize at the end of the season. The season consists of one weekday practice and games on Saturday in the AW Y Flex Gym. Players will practice skill development for first part of the program, then play a game second part of program. Teams coached by paid YMCA coaches! Program begins Sat. Nov. 2nd from 9:00am-9:45am, last program date Sat. Dec. 7th (no programming Sat. Nov. 30th).

AGES 7-8 (CO-ED ) Players will practice once during the week for 60 minutes beginning week of Oct. 21st with games on Saturdays beginning Sat. Nov. 2nd, last game Sat. Dec. 7th (no games Sat. Nov. 30th). Teams coached by paid YMCA coaches!

Member: $70/ Program Participant: $120 PRACTICES OFFERED: Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm at Whitehouse Primary Gymnasium

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The Anthony Wayne YMCA has financial assistance available for the Jr. Cavs Program for those who qualify. Please pick up a financial assistance application at the member service desk. All applications must be completed fully with proper accompanying documentation and turned in by Mon. Sept. 30th in order to be considered (the earlier the better!)

COACHING INFORMATION

This program is will be led by paid YMCA coaches. We are in need of assistant volunteer coaches! Please sign up at registration if you would like to volunteer assist with our Jr. Cavs programs!

FITNESS CENTER ORIENTATION If you did not schedule your FREE orientation when you started your membership, sign-up for yours today! The session is used to familiarize yourself with exercises and equipment you prefer or all that we have to offer. Many of these orientations are simply to show members how to properly turn on and start cardio equipment, seat and hand positions on the functional training machines, or so you know which machines they should be using to specifically target their fitness goals.

FITNESS ASSESSMENT/CONSULTATION A fitness assessment and consultation provides members with their level of fitness. Data is used to determine areas for improvement and also allows YMCA staff to explain different services and programs that will help you achieve your goals.

GOAL SETTING SESSION Individual goal setting sessions can be used for those having a hard time identifying their own personal goals, have difficulty setting goals or someone who just wants to have a goal setting session. At the Anthony Wayne YMCA we use SMART goal setting which is used not only in the fitness field but also in our personal lives and in the work force.

Want ongoing personal attention? Get a little extra help from an experienced, certified personal trainer who will develop, monitor and modify your exercise program to meet your individual needs. We offer a 30-minute plan and have a variety of trainers with varying interest and expertise. We’ll provide recommendations based on your wants and needs.
