HEALTHCARE SUPPORT WORKERS
HNC Healthcare Practice (Distance Learning) at Forth Valley College is an exciting opportunity for Healthcare Support Workers currently employed in healthcare settings. This course is designed to fit around your busy work schedule, providing the flexibility you need to balance study and employment.
Upon completion, this provides suitable pathways to undergraduate degree studies in Nursing (Adult, Child, Learning Difficulty, and Child Health), as well as in Allied Health professions such as Paramedic Science and Occupational Health.
Conditions on entry:
• Currently employed in a healthcare setting as a Healthcare Support Worker. This can be in a Care Home, Clinic, Community or Clinical Area.
• Employment can be either temporary or permanent, with a minimum contract of 15 hours per week.
• Line manager’s approval required.
• Successful completion of the interview process.

Funding: Part-time fee waiver subject to criteria
Attendance: Required to attend college one day every six weeks
