hat is your connection to the Coffs Coast? Coffs Harbour Carpet Court is a long term business servicing the residents of the Coffs Coast. We have owned and operated the business for 11 years and we’re locals, living in beautiful, sunny Sawtell with our two daughters, Jaimi and Jordyn. Can you tell us a little bit about your background and experience in this industry ? I (Simon) have always had a keen interest in building and real estate, so a career change into flooring was a fairly easy transition. I manage the sales and installation side of the business. Fiona is a qualified accountant with over 20 years’ experience, and she manages the operational side of the business. In November, Fiona was elected by fellow store members to become a Director of Carpet Court Australia for the next three years and hopefully for many more years after. Fiona is the first woman to be elected to the Carpet Court Australia Board. She is looking forward to the opportunity to work closely with the 200 Carpet Court stores nationally, the National Support Centre Management team based in Melbourne, and preferred suppliers, to continue to move the group forward as the number one flooring and blind retailer in Australia. Tell us about the brands you stock ... Carpet Court is the largest retail flooring franchise in Australia and as such, has access to an enormous base of the best products available. The 200 stores are all independently owned and operated by locals offering the best range of flooring solutions, with the added addition of window furnishings.
