EDITOR'S LETTER Our Dream Come True This edition of Flutter marks a milestone: it's our first anniversary as a print publication. It's a dream come true for us, and I speak on behalf of both myself and my co-founder Tracy Lazaro when I say we're humbly honored to have worked with such incredible talent from around the world to put together the stunning publication you are about to sift through. To everyone who helped us reach this milestone: we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. In this issue you’ll find more of what Flutter has become known for: elegant yet easy ways to celebrate the changing seasons, swoonworthy real weddings from which to gain your own bridal inspiration, and pages of ideas to bring beauty and creativity into your world. There's a golden overtone in this issue that will whisk you away in wonderment, and you'll find an ombre of inspiration from the warm glows of Indian Summer to the rich and bold beauty of early Harvest. Much of the featured content is inspired by travel. Swoon over tabletop works of art from Casa de Perrin (pg 59). Choose your adventure as you flip through some of our most admired getaways (pg 42). And fall in love with our five beautiful couples whose dreamy destination weddings span from Athens, Georgia to Yelapa, Mexico to Maui, Hawaii and beyond. Finally, I'd like to dedicate this issue to Tim Buckley (aka our Fairy Godfather) without whom Flutter may still be just a digital dream. Tim - you saw our vision, you helped us refine it, and you inspired us to leap into the wonderful world of print. We are forever grateful for your wisdom and encouragement. I can only dream about what the future holds for Flutter, but I have visions of more glitz + glam, trend setting ideas, breathtaking imagery, and the ever evolving art of celebrating chic. We hope you'll continue to follow us every step of the way!

Southern Charm

Meredith & John Cloverleaf Farm Athens, Georgia

Photography by Paige Jones

welcome to athens, georgia! It is the very picture of southern charm where gracious antebellum manors welcome visitors with soaring columned porches. lush green pastures and flowering magnolias decorate every turn and the sweet sounds of crickets and sights of glowing fireflies grace the night.

good ole southern hospitality

John and I wanted our day to not only be a celebration of our marriage but a celebration of all of the support our loved ones and friends gave us throughout our (long distance) dating. We wanted our guests to feel like they were at home. -the bride

I had given them a card with little strips of fabric in the color scheme/textures I liked. ‘Berry’ colors were my inspiration. I wanted them to have a dress they felt beautiful in and would wear again!

the ring around

Meredith’s heirloom engagement ring is a combination of an antique band and John’s grandmother’s diamond. Paired with a simple gold band, we think it is just perfection.

moved the room in her ethereal, silk chiffon and lace Leanne Marshall gown. Her bouquet was a rich, jewel-toned mix of lilac, pieris, jasmine, ranunculus, hellebores, poppies and other foraged greens.

it was that first summer we started dating, over picking strawberries, that John told me he knew he was going to marry me. I probably knew after our first date when we instantly bonded over our love for White Christmas and The Music Man. ‘The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing’ from White Christmas would become our first dance song. -the bride

A few of my friends kept trying to get someone to give me a new year’s kiss. I managed to obliviously turn my cheek when John tried at midnight but he later found a way to get that kiss.

the paper trail

Details were pulled directly from the environment of the event to craft a fitting paper suite.

The gray paper drew upon the the natural stone elements of a nearby bustling river and the hand-drawn feather represented the non-plant life in the location. Ferns were prominent in the surrounding foliage, so I was eager to include them, via vintage botanical prints, within the suite. - bianca mascorro of little miss press

Star status really makes the bouquet feel like it is in that transition between summer and fall. It grows dried and gives any bouquet or arrangement this airy element, but also the bountiful beauty that the fall gives us. -

imagine... just you and him, him and you, together at sunset on the bluffs of a secluded beach. There’s a slight breeze and the warmth of the mid-afternoon sun. You are glowing amongst this golden hour. The surrounding natural landscape is beaming with romance and it’s your own natural oasis to say, “I do”.

In the spirit of intimate nuptials, designer Joy Proctor arranged a coastal elopement inspired by Egyptian and Grecian design. Gold, bronze and ivory created a divine color palette, soothing to any Old World affair. The somewhat exotic beach setting juxtaposed the luxurious textures of metals and linens with the natural beauty of the environment.

Let’s Make Arrangements Photography by Joel Serrato whether she’s designing tabletops or building bouquets, kelly oshiro knows a thing or two about flowers. follow her tips to dress up your next occasion with your very own blooming centerpiece. Prep: Clean your flowers of all excess leaves. Cut stems at a steep angle to ensure the maximum uptake of water and let flowers hydrate for a day before arranging with them. Keep them out of the sun in a cool place and away from fruit ( fruit gives off a gas that makes flowers decay faster). Create Structure: Using clear floral tape, make a grid across the top of your container/ vase. Then, tape all the way around the edge so the grid is secured. This grid will act as an anchor, holding your flowers in place. Arrange: Start by placing whatever foliage or filler you're using to create the beginning

shape of the arrangement. It’s not about symmetry, but creating "rooms" to place flowers. I like flowers of different heights and of various types for texture. I always place my medium to large-sized blooms first and then finish with the little guys. As you arrange, keep turning the container to make sure you're getting a good shape from all angles. Finish by spritzing with cold water.

keeping you healthy

ASK

DR. KRISTI

Dr. Kristi Wrightson, along with our staff of professionals are committed to you in achieving your most optimal health. We have many specialized programs that allow you to obtain your balance of wellness. Some of our services include: Nutritional IV Therapy, Women's Health and Hormones, Detox Programs, Body Contouring, Anti-Aging Treatments, and Chronic Disease Management.

how do i avoid having a break-out on my wedding day? Many a bride fears waking up “the morning of ” with a big pimple on her face. You can airbrush the photos but not the real thing! Although there is no way to guarantee you won’t have acne on your big day, there are some simple things to do to prevent breakouts for your wedding day (and every day).

Two main factors that play into those unsightly blemishes: stress and food. Stress can actually cause unwanted fluctuations in all your hormones. These imbalances can show up as pimples, fatigue, PMS and even excess belly fat. Use a healthy combination of Evening Primrose Oil, flaxseed and chamomile tea to keep your stress levels down AND help to balance your hormones.

Another essential nutrient is glutathione. Glutathione is the master antioxidant and helps to clear toxins from the liver and tissues resulting in brighter skin and shinier hair. You can increase the amount of glutathione in the body by taking an oral vitamin C. As well, you can have intravenous glutathione “drips” for a quick, efficient cleanse.

Ditching the junk food and getting 5 daily servings of vegetables, 2 servings of fruit and at least 3 servings of lean protein will also help reduce the chance of pimples. Eliminating trigger foods such as chocolate, sugar and fried fare will go a long way to keeping your face beautiful.

how can i lose weight and look my best in my dress?

i want my skin & hair to be beautiful on my wedding day. what can i do? Instead of rubbing all kinds of “promising” products on your skin, create beautiful skin from the inside out. Gorgeous skin and hair are a reflection of nourished cells and those cells need Omega 3 essential fatty acids – the ones found in wild fish and fish oil supplements. Vitamins C, A, B and E are foundational nutrients essential for radiant skin and you can easily get them through your diet. Try eating at least one citrus fruit plus a handful of almonds each day to feed your cells. As well, taking a good B complex supplement twice per day can give you that magical glow all year round. It can help with your energy too!

With all the busy-ness of preparing for your wedding, it's often hard to find time for yourself. Losing that last 10 pounds or creating a smoother-looking line is easier than you may think. Eating a well-balanced, healthy diet combined with exercise is the foundation of any weight loss journey, but there are often obstacles to optimizing weight. Hormonal imbalances can cause low metabolism and weight gain. If you know that your hormones are in check and you just can’t lose that last bit of weight there are non-invasive options available. While it can be difficult to reduce the size of fat cells in your “problem areas”, you don’t need to turn to expensive and painful surgeries. The Zerona is a non-invasive alternative to liposuction or other surgeries. The treatments are completely painless and there is no recovery time. After 12 treatments most patients lose an average of 5-10 total body inches. ®

SPA SEEKERS

Canyon Point where will i sleep? Amangiri Canyon Point, Utah Tucked away in a protected valley amid deep canyons and towering plateaus, sits this 600-acre dreamy desert resort. At Amangiri, the exclusive panoramic view of the surrounding Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and Grand Staircase-Escalante is second to the private pampering you will enjoy from a daybed at the tranquil stone pool, in floatation therapy at the Navajo-influenced Aman Spa, or during a rain shower inside your suite, which is accessible only from your very own courtyard. www.amanresorts.com

what will i do? Luxury truly meets the desert when you combine the docket of hiking trails in Amangiri’s backyard with their spa menu. The eight on-property trailheads range from scenic to challenging, but each one comes with breathtaking views of slickrock domes and towering sandstone peaks. Rappel the descent on the Hoodoo Via Ferrata trail, and then cool off together at the plunge pool inside the spa’s Water Pavilion.

where will i eat? Another reason to never leave the pristine premises is the open kitchen. Its wood-fired oven and outdoor terrace overlook the pool and desert backdrop, and the food is locally sourced, seasonal and constantly changing. For dessert, mosey over to the walk-in wine cellar where you two can rent a private room to savor tastings by the glass, and he can cap off the night with a cigar from the cellar’s humidor.

CLASSIC PIONEERS

Elkhorn where will i sleep? Camp Wandawega Elkhorn, Wisconsin If you can’t remember when life was simple, Camp Wandawega is calling your name. About two hours outside of Chicago and on the north side of Wisconsin’s Lake Wandawega, a rustic retreat is ready to take you back to basics. Forgo materialistic luxuries as you cuddle on a hammock, stare at the stars from inside a teepee, or swing from a tire-swing at your vintage creek cabin. It's just you, him and the serenity of your natural surroundings. www.wandawega.com

what will i do? Enjoy simple pleasures and get outdoors. At camp, guests have access to a private beach, where you can canoe, fish, or take a boat out onto the lake. If you want to stay on land: tennis, archery, shuffleboard, and roasting s’mores over a campfire are just a handful of activities from the halcyon days of yore that you can leisurely enjoy. The nighttime activity? Getting cozy around a bonfire.

where will i eat? The classic mess hall has been upgraded with nine options for dining and imbibing near these campgrounds. Among the choices are Anthony’s Steak House, which boasts a ‘70s vibe and generous portions of meat. Back at camp, be sure to check out the Lodge, which was a speakeasy built during Prohibition. Once you bypass the three locked doors and arrive at the bar, order a glass of whiskey and ask the staff about the mob, the Madame and the raccoon – it’s quite a story.

URBAN HAUNTS

Austin where will i sleep? Kimber Modern Austin, Texas Nestled away in the lively SoCo district is the Kimber Modern, which is – as its name suggests – a modern, and private architectural work of art. With its simplistic design and use of energy efficient and high-tech materials (hello, virtual concierge!), you can enjoy the luxuries of a 5-star hotel with the personalized care of your favorite B&B. Sleep amid beauty and in comfort in the White Suite, which has a private deck, custom Maple king bed, and tub for two. www.kimbermodern.com

what will i do? Everything you need is virtually at your fingertips, but when you get tired of surfing the Internet from inside the all-white and sleek common room, head out for an afternoon of shopping or wandering through an art gallery or cinema. There’s no shortage of culture here, but you can also head over to nearby Lady Bird Lake for hiking, rockclimbing, and biking.

where will i eat? Between downtown Austin and the multitude of nearby local eateries, delicious dinners and drinks are on the menu. South Congress Café promises the best Bloody Mary in all of America and Hopdoddy Burger Bar invites you to see what’s on tap. On Sunday, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Enoteca, Perla’s, or Garrido’s for brunch.

HANDS-ON HONEYMOONERS

Ace Camps where will i sleep? Various Locations Calling all risk-taking, like-minded travel junkies! ACE (adventure, culture and education) Camps bring together artists, photographers, foodies, writers, and creative people who want to learn or improve a skill to various locations around the world – almost like a game of travel roulette. Since the coolest and unique spots are promised, the location is always migrating. Depending on your camp, you will stay anywhere from mansions to tents, historic hotels to modern condos, or boutique hotels to ranches – and you will often be bunking up with others in your group. www.ritchieacecamps.com

what will i do? First, you’ll throw out your agenda. The go-with-theflow, friendly atmosphere encourages the small groups of professionals here to have impromptu experiences and explore cities without that typical, strict tourist schedule. ACE is one long workshop where travelers are encouraged to uncover, develop and stretch their creativity, so if there’s an art you are after or a craft you’re wishing to cultivate, get ready to master it.

where will i eat? You don’t have to eat a sloppy joe, but meals are catered in traditional buffet or family style. Before your trip, you’ll fill out a catering form where you can note any food allergies or restrictions. And if the location is at a hotel, ACE polls “in the know” locals for recommendations so you can getaway and dine out privately nearby.

a SOCIAL WEDDING Mind Your (Social) Manners

by

Wedding COORDINATOR JILL REMY

To Share or Not to Share With the modern day ease and instant gratification of posting photos and videos, it’s important to consider the intimacy of your event. My biggest advice is to give your guests direction! Everyone has a different relationship with social media, and on your big day, you want friends and family to respect your wishes, and most importantly, BE PRESENT! BEHIND THE SCENES

Pinterest is a great tool for brides to share their interests with vendors. When creating your virtual pin board, think outside the box. Spin off of what inspires you and add your own unique details to make your wedding your own. Keep in mind that you can and should make your boards private, leaving the details of your big day a surprise for your guests.

#heartsaflutter THE CEREMONY, UNPLUGGED

THE HASHTAG

We have all seen those beautiful ceremony photos from professional photographers where guests are holding their phones up. Chances are you’ve paid a lot of money for these photos and they should be cell phone free! If you want guests to put their phones away, pop a cute “no phone” icon in your ceremony program or post a sign at the entrance displaying your wishes.

This is a great way to keep a curated collection of behind-the-scenes photos from all of your guests. Take control and create a hashtag that suits you ahead of time. Encourage your guests to use it by displaying it on your wedding program, on a sign, in a picture frame, or wherever you see fit.

welcome bag inspiration

The couple welcomed guests to Santa Barbara with branded totes designed by Lazaro Press. Each tote came complete with a medal charm signifying recognition of the people that earned sainthood in the Catholic faith for leading lives that exemplify Christ’s teachings, a map of Santa Barbara, and symbolic treats from their hometowns of San Angelo, Texas and Bakersfield, California.

Carrie’s bouquet was a soft mix of romantic white ranunculus, roses and parrot tulips.

After sifting through a number of different fabric types and colors, Carrie and her mom worked with L'ezu out of Beverly Hills and designed custom gowns for her bridesmaids. Each included a personalized embroidered tag with their initials and the wedding date.

the coral casino, the location of the reception, is a special place for Lane and I. It’s an old club, founded in 1937, and is unique to California because it is located directly on the beach. We wanted to capture that era in our reception and tried to infuse a vintage santa barbara glamour theme with the dÊcor and music. –the bride

TRENDS to spruce up your wedding!

by

Wedding Planner Alexandra Kolendrianos

INCORPORATE YOUR CULTURES INTO YOUR CEREMONY OR RECEPTION

Traditional elements like a Chinese tea ceremony, breaking of the glass in a Jewish ceremony, or exchanging of the crowns in a Greek Orthodox ceremony are a few cultural practices that are both meaningful and engaging. Share the significance behind these traditions in your program so that there is meaning there for your guests as well.

In the traditional Chinese marriage ceremony, the bride and groom serve tea to one another's parents, symbolizing that they are to become a part of each other's family.

GET PERSONAL WITH HAND CALLIGRAPHY

Hand calligraphy is a decorative personal touch that lends to instant design. Carry the calligraphy through from your invitations, to handwritten notes at your ceremony, to your guests’ escort & place cards, and of course to the menus at your reception. A calligrapher that has a lot of flourish is a sure way to showcase personality! Spice things up with a little color. Bold, bright hues are hot right now. MAKE A STATEMENT WITH SMALL BITES

When it comes to food, presentation in small bites goes a long way. Make your cocktail hour one to remember, not just by the specialty drinks, but by an abundance of gourmet light bites. Think creatively in presentation. For example, try tomato soup shooters accented with little grilled cheese squares. Darling and delicious! Carry those small bites onto your layered table top to add more dimension. Guests love items that are pre set on the table that they can snack on. Instead of the traditional bread and butter served tableside, think rustic breads, olives, cheeses, charcuterie platters, etc... This allows guests to engage and interact. LAYERS OF TABLETOP DÉCOR (i.e. plates on top of plates on top of chargers!)

Gone are the days of the simple table. Couples are now really paying attention to the details of a wedding by adding in layers that showcase the personality and vibe of their celebration. Unique flatware, intricate chargers, special china, and maybe a vintage glass (or accent glass) gives warmth and personal style to any space. Try a layered look with multiple designs… a sea of tables adorned with two different looks makes for a more interesting room. LOOKING FOR MORE FESTIVE IDEAS FOR THE RECEPTION?

Photo courtesy of Casa de Perrin

Remember,

Try a tequila bar, a Mariachi band, or a Cuban cigar roller. Specific dances such as the Zorba or the Cumbia are fun for everyone. The possibilities are endless when it comes to your culture and throwing a party!

keep tradition alive in your ceremony, but keep it festive,

culturally significant, and interactive during the reception.

With the fall harvest in full bloom, Valerie Rice is giving you everything you need to channel your inner hostess with the mostess to throw a divine alfresco garden party.

Five Tips For Hosting A Tomato Garden Party 1. Make Organic Arrangements Dress your tabletop with organic elements: pile assorted tomatoes on a tiered cake stand, arrange an abundant platter of whole fresh veggies, try using actual (mini) vegetable plants instead of flowers. 2. The Gift of Gardening Enhance each place setting with potted garden plants that double as favors for your guests. For each plant, grab a piece of twine and tie on tags with Val’s gardening tips. (visit www. fluttermag.com for the free download courtesy of Design House of Moira)

3. Dishing it Out Garden eats are naturally vibrant in color. Serve the meal on simple white or natural dishware so it really pops. After all, it is an edible work of art. 4. Hands-on Sips Give your guests an opportunity to interact with one another and the garden. Set up a Botanical Bar where guests can build their own gin & tonic cocktail using herbs foraged fresh from the garden. Snip, muddle and sip! 5. The Menu Whatever the reason, plan your menu according to what’s in season! The theme of our harvest-inspired menu was tomatoes. To complement the flavorful fruit, we incorporated figs, peppers, cucumbers, and numerous herbs. Visit your local farmers market website for the latest information on what’s in season.

Whatever the reason, plan your menu according to what’s in season! - Valerie Fresh Garden Herb Dip

Recipes serve six.

Green Zebra Gazpacho Soup - 2 pounds Green Zebra Tomatoes - 1 pound lemon cucumber, peeled - 2 Padron peppers* - 1 yellow bell pepper - 1 clove garlic (optional) - 1 tablespoon, plus 1 teaspoon lime juice - 2 teaspoons salt

- 2 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped - 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon fresh tarragon, chopped - 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped - 3/4 cup buttermilk - 3/4 cup best quality mayonnaise - 1 small clove of garlic, grated - Zest and juice of half a Meyer Lemon - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper - 2 dashes Tabasco Mix the ingredients together, chill well and serve with crudités.

Creamy Corn Salad

*Padron peppers are generally spicier in flavor than Shishito. Often the larger the Padrons get in size, the hotter they become. If you’re sensitive to spice, add half the amount first and blend, taste and add more if you like where it’s heading. Garnish - Chive blossoms - Lemon cucumber - Sun Gold tomatoes 1. Wash all of your veggies. 2. Remove the seeds of the pepper and cut into large pieces. Since it’s all going in the blender a rough chop is fine. 3. Slice the Zebra Tomatoes in half – they’re a small variety, about the size of a golf ball. 4. Peel the cucumbers. If you can’t find lemon cucumbers, Persian cucumbers will do just fine. 5. Blend all soup ingredients until thoroughly incorporated (you may have to do this in batches). Strain through a fine mesh strainer and discard the residual mixture. There will be a lot of seeds and unwanted skin. Don’t skip the straining process; it creates a lovely texture for your gazpacho. Refrigerate overnight. 6. Serve well chilled with the following garnishes: small tomatoes sliced in half (I like Sun Gold), small diced lemon cucumbers, chive and basil blossoms.

Since this cold soup is made in a blender and not on the stovetop, it’s perfect for a warm

Indian Summer afternoon. - Valerie

with Cherry Tomatoes - 1 lb garden tomatoes. any assortment cherry and heirloom - Drizzle of olive oil - Sea salt - Basil leaves, for garnish - 2 tablespoons oil - 1/2 cup shallots, fine chop - 4 ears of corn - 1 teaspoon kosher salt - 1/4 cup crème fraiche - Pinch of cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon lime juice - 1/4 teaspoon lime zest Slice tomatoes — for cherry tomatoes, slice in half and for heirloom slice into wedges. Combine tomatoes in a bowl with one teaspoon sea salt, a pinch of red pepper flakes and a drizzle of olive oil. Let tomatoes sit for at least fifteen minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon. On medium-low heat cook in a sauté pan, cook the shallots in the oil until translucent and soft - about eight minutes. Cut the corn off the cob and then add it to the shallots. Using the back of your knife swipe the sides of the cobs into the pan with the ears. This will extract some of the milk in the corn and help enhance the creaminess the salad. Continue to cook on medium-low about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Next, stir in the crème fraiche until evenly incorporated. Cook for an additional 3 minutes. Add the cayenne, lime juice and zest and remove from heat. Taste for seasoning. On a platter, pour out the corn and add clusters or “nests” of tomatoes. Pour over the remaining juices from the tomatoes and garnish with the basil leaves. Serve at room temperature.

We have a tree in our yard that gets bigger and bigger every year, producing more and more fruit. I especially love to wrap fish in those beautiful leaves and then roast — perfection! Cooking fish in the leaves imparts a lovely tropical flavor similar to coconut and also keeps the fish incredibly moist. It always feels special to bring these bright green packages to the table. When picking fig leaves off the tree, try to select leaves where you can still allow a cluster of leaves on the branch to protect the fruit on the tree — you don’t want to leave the figs exposed to the blazing sun. This is a great recipe for entertaining because you can prep the fish in the morning and store in the fridge. When dining time approaches, pull the fish out and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes and then place in the oven. Unwrap the leaves before eating. Wild Salmon Roasted in Fig Leaves - 4, 5 ounce fillets wild salmon - 4 fig leaves, washed and stems removed - 1 tablespoon melted butter - 1 tablespoon olive oil - Salt and pepper to taste Preheat oven 400. Combine the butter and oil. Paint each side of the fish with the mixture. Season each with salt and pepper. Lay each fillet skin side down on each leaf and then wrap up the leaf around the fish. You can fasten the leaves together with butchers twine. Wrap it like a present. The leaves don’t need to entirely cover the entire filet. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. Unwrap the leaves and serve.

Verana Yelapa, Mexico

Photography by Jacqueline Pilar

About thirty minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (by boat)

you’ll discover a vibrant, tropical sanctuary tucked away in the lush hillside of Yelapa. Here panoramic views from the sea to the vast Mexican jungle take your breath away.

Enter Verana - a private, coastal retreat

with ten uber-chic, open air bungalows - each crafted to its own unique charm. Add mouth-watering gourmet local cuisine, a chic jungle spa and a sky high pool, and you’re in ultimate serenity.

Christopher had taken me to Verana for my 30th birthday. We just fell in love with how intimate and beautiful the property was. Even though we weren’t engaged Christopher was already talking about having our wedding there! We loved the open feel of all the houses and the food was amazing. It is definitely a unique location and experience that people will remember. When we did get engaged about a year later it was a pretty easy decision. -The Bride

maxi-ed out

Because the wedding was so small, if you were invited, you were a bridesmaid! I wanted all of the girls to complement each other for pictures so I ended up choosing a general, festive color scheme and had everyone choose a favorite maxi dress. Pinterest was a great way for all of us to pin our favorites and plan accordingly. -The Bride

After the ceremony, Greta added a dash of alabaster and crystalencrusted glam with a dazzling Hayley Paige bolero.

The couple's dog Lexi is a big part of their family. To include her in the wedding Greta found a long-haired dachshund pin for Christopher to wear instead of a boutonniere.

keepsake details At a place like Verana there’s not much that needs to be brought in from the outside to embellish the environment. However, the couple did want to add some culturally-inspired personal touches: 1. The groom is a tequila aficionado. It was only fitting that quality mini bottles of the spirit welcomed every guest. The bottle tops were carved wood to look like Mexican wrestling masks. 2. For the reception, the bride handmade beaded leather bracelets to be used as both napkin rings and party favors. Guests donned these details for the duration of the trip and still do to this day! 3. The resort is equipped with simple white table linens. Knowing this ahead of time, the groom’s mom made a colorful ikat table runner to dress up the reception celebrations.

Bouquet Breakdown

Greta’s bridesmaids banded together to build her a beautiful bouquet using foraged tropical blooms found right on the Verana property:

ferns, plumeria and dracaena.

ABBY + CHRIS This fun-loving couple made their grand exit just steps outside of the historic Cotton Exchange building in Savannah, Georgia. Prior to the exit, guests were handed mini-canvas pouches full of lavender that had the words "Toss Me" printed on them. With bright oversized balloons from Art Pop in tow, this first moment as Mr + Mrs was captured. We'd call it a flying success! Where were they headed next? A pedicab whisked them off to their sweet reception: a dessert bar packed with Southern confections. Congratulations Abby + Chris! We wish you a lifetime of love.
