Introduction:

Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia, a non-profit organization, on behalf of the One Safe Place Macon Family Justice Center collaborative is seeking a qualified public relations firm to develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy and provide support for our upcoming capital campaign. We are looking for a team of experts who can help us increase awareness of our organization, build relationships with key stakeholders, and raise funds for our mission. Businesses owned by people of color, women, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+, veterans, and other underrepresented populations are encouraged to apply.

Organization Background:

One Safe Place Macon Family Justice Center will provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder and dependent adult abuse, and human trafficking in Central Georgia. One Safe Place Macon will be located in Macon-Bibb County with a service area including Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, and Twiggs counties. The primary purpose of the Center is to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where victims of the aforementioned crimes can access the help they need to escape abusive situations and rebuild their lives. One Safe Place Macon will be one of the first FJCs in Georgia when it opens in 2024. Scope of Work:

The selected firm will be responsible for the following tasks to support the lead up to opening One Safe Place Macon in the latter half of 2024:

1. Develop a comprehensive public relations strategy that includes media outreach, social media engagement, and community engagement.

2. Create a messaging framework that articulates our mission, values, and goals in a clear and compelling way.

3. Develop and implement a media outreach plan that includes pitching stories to local and national media outlets, coordinating interviews, and drafting press releases.

4. Develop and execute a social media strategy that includes creating content for social media platforms and monitoring social media metrics.

5. Create engaging collateral to support outreach strategy including, but not limited to: a dynamic website, video production, and print materials.

6. Identify and engage with key community stakeholders who can help promote our organization and our capital campaign.

7. Provide support for our upcoming capital campaign, including developing fundraising materials, organizing donor events, and coordinating donor stewardship efforts.

8. Measure the success of the public relations strategy and provide regular reports to our organization’s leadership.

Qualifications:

The ideal public relations firm should have the following qualifications:

1. A proven track record of developing and implementing successful public relations strategies for non-profit organizations.

2. Demonstrated experience in managing and executing successful capital campaigns.

3. Strong relationships with local and national media outlets and influencers.

4. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

5. Experience working with non-profit organizations and a deep understanding of the non-profit sector.

Proposal Submission:

Interested firms should submit a proposal that includes the following information:

1. Contact information and preferred method of communication.

2. A detailed description of the firm’s experience and qualifications as it relates to this project type

3. A proposed timeline and project plan that demonstrates a clear understanding of the work to be performed.

4. A detailed budget that outlines all costs associated with the project.

5. List of team members who would be involved, including their role and experience.

6. At least three previous client references.

Proposal Evaluation:

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. The firm’s experience and qualifications.

2. The firm’s proposed approach to the project.

3. The firm’s ability to meet project deadlines.

4. The firm’s proposed budget.

5. References from previous clients.

Timeline:

Proposals are due on June 9, 2023 The selected firm will be chosen and notified by July 9, 2023. The estimated project completion date is Fall 2024.

Estimated Budget:

$70,000-$90,000 negotiable.

CLSH may, at its sole and absolute discretion, select no provider for these services if, in its determination, no applicant is sufficiently responsive to the need. CLSH reserves the right to withdraw this Request for Proposal (RFP) and/or any item within the RFP at any time without notice. CLSH reserves the right to disqualify any proposal which does not adhere to the RFP guidelines. This RFP is being offered at the discretion of CLSH. It does not commit CLSH to award any contract. Due to the fluid nature of this project, we reserve the right to renegotiate project scope as needed. This will be determined through ongoing discussions with the selected firm.
