One Safe Place Macon HOPE Hero Award

Award Significance:
As the discipline of crime victim services has grown over the years, so has the number of remarkable individuals and organizations who significantly contribute to its success. Today, countless people and programs have- through vision, action, dedication, and leadershipimproved the lives of victims in the aftermath of crime.
The One Safe Place Macon Family Justice Center Collaborative seeks to recognize a member of the Macon-Bibb County community for their ongoing commitment and going above and beyond professionally and/or personally that inspires us through their acts of courage, compassion, and victim-centered approach. This award seeks to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary contributions that they have made to the lives of victims, survivors, and our community.
The award winner will be honored at a special ceremony during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week on April 26, 2023 to recognize Georgia crime victims and those who support them.
You may nominate one or more candidates. Nominations will be accepted for individuals, groups, programs, or agencies. More than one nominee may be awarded at the discretion of the Awards Committee.

Nomination Guidelines:
1. On the digital form, nominator must include the nominee's full name and email address. Nominator must also include their own title, affiliation, and email address. No anonymous nominations will be accepted.
2. Each nomination form must be accompanied by a letter that reflects as much as you know about the nominee's accomplishments and services in supporting crime victims. Use the letter to provide a complete picture of the nominee's accomplishments. Assume
that the selection committee is completely unfamiliar with the nominee's work. Each nomination letter, in addition to addressing all criteria for which you are nominating an individual or group, must explain how the nominee
a. has contributed efforts to the victim services field that are unique, exceptional, or go beyond her job duties;
b. has demonstrated leadership or teamwork in achieving these efforts; and
c. has brought about change for victims or the victim services field that is or will be enduring.
3. Include specific examples that address what the nominee has achieved, how the nominee accomplished these achievements, and why the nominee's achievements have significance that should be recognized with a One Safe Place Macon HOPE Hero Award.
4. Write clearly and directly and include pertinent details without providing extraneous or unrelated information.
5. Ensure that all information submitted is accurate.
