The amazing story of Paul planting the church in Philippi is recorded in Acts 16 After a vision directing him to Macedonia, he visited Philippi where he and Silas were thrown in jail A miraculous earthquake occurred which resulted in Paul and Silas being set free and the jailer and his family converted Paul wrote Philippians when he was imprisoned yet again and told them of the positive things happening knowing they would fully understand
