Vintage
The 2023 harvest in Napa Valley was notably cooler than previous years. The growing season began with higher-than-average rainfall in winter and a chilly spring, which delayed the growing season by 10 - 14 days compared to the year prior. The summer brought mild temperatures, contributing to longer hang time and the gradual accumulation of natural sugars and aromatic compounds in the grapes. Extended ripening period and favorable weather conditions are why the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc has higher aromatics, complexity and concentration of flavors than previous years.
Region
Los Carneros, a cool-climate AVA nestled between Napa and Sonoma counties, is characterized by its shallow, clay-dominant soils and gentle, rolling topography, which allow grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, developing complex flavors and retaining their natural acidity.
St. Helena is situated further north in Napa Valley, known for its volcanic gravel and loamy soils, and produces Sauvignon Blancs that exhibit rich fruit flavors and a creamy mouthfeel.
Tasting notes
Enticing aromas of ripe tropical fruit, such as passionfruit, pineapple, and papaya, are complemented by delicate floral undertones. The palate is richly textured, featuring a weighty mouthfeel that underscores its complexity. The vibrant fruit flavors leave a lasting impression of this aromatic and fruitforward wine. Perfect for non-Sauvignon Blanc drinkers seeking a flavorful and unctuous wine. Experience the distinctive complexity of a blend that harmoniously combines the best cool and warm Napa Valley terroirs.

Pairing logic
This wine’s crisp acidity and vibrant fruit notes work well with fresh, zesty, and citrusy dishes as they enhance and complement these flavors. Its fruity and acidic character helps balance rich and creamy components in dishes, such as cheese, cream, or butter. Sauvignon Blanc’s lightto-medium body and mineral notes make it a suitable pairing for dishes with subtle flavors, allowing them to shine without being overpowered by the wine.

Winemaking
A 58/42 blend of Sauvignon Blanc from Los Carneros AVA and Napa Valley’s sub-AVA St. Helena. Los Carneros’ portion leads the blend, bringing bright acidity, vibrant tropical fruit notes, and a crisp finish that enhances the blend’s freshness and structure. St. Helena’s portion adds a fuller body, rich stone fruit flavors, and a creamy texture, contributing to the wine’s complexity and balance. Together, they create a harmonious wine with balanced acidity, generous fruit flavors and body resulting in a complex and elegant Sauvignon Blanc showcasing both terroir’s unique attributes.
