Vintage 2022 was one of the warmest years on record in Romania, with the highest temperatures occurring in July and August. Thanks to the Central Moldavian Plateau, these bright and aromatic white varieties stayed cooler than the rest of the country, ripening slowly throughout the growing season before an early harvest locked in the ideal balance of flavor and freshness.

Region Romania’s Huși DOC is a quaint sub-region of the Moldovan Hills, located east of the Carpathian Mountains, bordering Moldova. This charming region champions crisp, aromatic white wines made from prized native grapes, Fetească Regală and Fetească Albă. These ancient varieties have been perfected over centuries through mindful selection and cultivation practices, making Huși a small but stunning hidden gem.



Tasting notes Our crisp and bright blend allows two of Romania’s most cherished native grapes to shine. The nose introduces elegant floral and green tea aromas joined by unctuous ripe stone fruit and hints of vanilla from French oak. These notes carry through to a refreshing palate where oak adds softness to the mouthfeel, emphasizing notes of fresh apricot, green apple, pear and smooth key lime pie.

Winemaking In crafting this wine, the aim is to create a pure expression of two heritage varieties. After a cool fermentation, varying proportions of Fetească Regală and Albă are tested before an even 50/50 split is determined as the blend’s magic number, capturing Regală’s texture and Albă’s fruit-driven character. Before bottling, French oak adds a nuanced toastiness without overshadowing the grapes’ natural profile, resulting in a wine that is easy to understand but leaves a lasting impression.
